Paquita Bolden (teacher at Duncan Elementary School of the Arts) took a trip to Universal Studios with daughters Laylah ( 8th grade at Florence Chapel 📚), and Dejah (recent Byrnes graduate).

The family had a great time exploring different parks like brand-new Epic Universe🚀 and Disney’s Magic Kingdom🏰 We love to see those magical memories!💫

Henry Cotter (9th grader at BFA) and sister, Clara, (5th Grader at Abner Creek Academy) headed into the woods for camp at Lutheridge in Arden, NC and Asbury Hills in Cleveland, SC. Friends along with Haiden (Berry Shoals Elementary), Harper (Wellford Academy ) and Grayson (Byrnes High School) also tagged along! They enjoyed creek hikes, rock climbing🧗‍♀️and archery!🏹

🌎 Where in the World is District Five?! 🧭 Today, we’re pedaling into the heart of the Smoky Mountains with the Coker family!

Megan Coker, a math teacher at Byrnes High School, and her son Evan, a rising 3rd grader at Lyman Elementary, took on the scenic 11-mile bike loop around Cades Cove—all while camping under the stars! 🚴‍♀️🌌🏕️ Bear sightings? Let’s hope only from a distance! 🐻

Coast to coast we go with “Where In The World Is District 5”!🌏

Today we are back in South Carolina with the Ready family!🌴 Elaine Ready (teacher at Florence Chapel) took her children- Mary Mae (4th grade) and Louise (2nd grade) at River Ridge Elementary - kayaking on Bowens Island.🛶🌴 What fun!☀️

The trip got very windy.💨 with speeds up to 14 knots😲, but they had a great time!

We’re headed to the coast of South Carolina for our next edition of “Where in the World is District Five” 🌍🏖️ Hillary Brock (teacher at River Ridge Elementary), along with her family, Sadie (8th Grader at Florence Chapel), Bennett (6th Grader at Florence Chapel), Cooper (5th Grader at River Ridge) had a great time on Seabrook Island!☀️

Watching the dolphins strand feed 🐬, searching for alligators and deer 🐊🦌, and lots of days in the ocean on the boogie boards 🌊 were some of their favorite activities 💯

We're cruising on the high seas for our next "Where In The World Is District Five" adventure! 🚢 Pamela Langston-Martinez (bookkeeper at Byrnes Freshman Academy), along with daughter Addison Martinez (10th grader at Byrnes High School) and friend, Lester De Leon (also 10th grade at Byrnes) set sail for St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and the Bahamas recently ☀️🌴 Looks like such fun! 🌍

Today's edition of "Where In The World Is District Five" is double the fun! 💯 Our D5 8u and 12u Rebels All Star teams played in the Braves Country All Star tournament this weekend, and delivered home run performances! ⚾️ The 8u team played their way to a 3rd place finish 🥉 and the 12u team captured the tournament championship 🏆 Way to go, Rebels!
