📚✨ A Publishing Party to Remember! 📚 4th graders in Mrs. Cassidy’s class at Tyger River Elementary recently celebrated a big accomplishment! 👏 After reading memoirs by Devin Scillian, students chose an object and wrote their own “Memoir of…” books. They spent weeks writing and illustrating their stories before celebrating together. 🎉📝 We are so proud of their hard work and creativity! 💯 #WeAreD5

All Spartanburg District Five schools will return to a normal schedule Thursday, February 5 🍎📚 All bus routes are back to normal as well 🚌. Thank you for your support as we've navigated the challenges of the last two weeks.

We look forward to seeing students and staff tomorrow! ❤️

❄️Weather Update❄️ (Hopefully, our final one! 😉)

All District Five schools will be open, and operate on a two hour delay on Wednesday, February 4, due to improved conditions across the district. Most of our main roads are clear, and only a few icy areas remain on our secondary roads. While the impacts are minimal, we will not send buses down roads that are impassable 🚌 If your student is impacted, the Transportation team will contact you directly. 📞

⏰ Start times: Elementary 9:30 a.m. I Middle/High School 10:15 a.m.
🚌 Buses will run two hours later than normally scheduled
📚 No 4K or PCD classes, and no morning classes at RD Anderson
🍎 Breakfast and lunch will be served

Spartanburg District Five schools will be closed Tuesday, February 3 due to hazardous driving conditions and extremely low temperatures overnight.📚 There will be NO E-Learning for students on Tuesday💻As of today, District Five has used the five e-Learning days allowed by the state for this school year. We will release more information about makeup days and our school calendar soon 📆

Due to snow-covered roads, hazardous driving conditions, and extremely cold temperatures, all Spartanburg District Five schools and offices will be closed Monday. 📚 Monday will be an eLearning day for students. 💻

🚫 All extracurricular activities and events are cancelled.

We know many were hoping for a return to normal, but winter had one more plan in mind. ❄️ As always, safety is our top priority in District Five ❤️ Please stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the snow ⛄️
