Harrison Pitman, a rising 3rd grader, and Wyatt Pitman a rising 1st grader, made the most of their Virginia Beach adventure. From exploring Norfolk’s naval history⚓, touring the USS Wisconsin, enjoying sunny beach days☀️, and cheering Dad on from the sidelines at his softball tournament. A perfect mix of fun, family, and unforgettable memories!

In today’s edition of “Where in the World is D5”, rising Beech Springs Middle 7th grader Daniella Wells, spent a packed week in Europe! She got to see London,💂 Stonehenge, ride the 185mph train 🚂 from London to Paris.

She finished off the trip with the Louvre, Eiffel Tower and a few others!

Learning doesn't stop in the summer! 📚🍎☀️ Teachers and staff at Wellford Academy spent the past few days learning and growing through Responsibility-Centered Discipline (RCD) training! 💯

The program focuses on building a school culture where students learn to take ownership of their choices 👍 develop strong character 🫶 and grow into responsible learners and leaders ❤️

Through collaboration, reflection and hands-on practice, staff members explored strategies to strengthen relationships, support positive behavior and create an environment where every student can thrive 🙌

The Wellford family is excited to bring these skills back to the classroom and continue working to provide the best learning experience for students 📚🍎 Way to go, Wolfpack! 💯 #WeAreD5

From life-saving skills to hands-on medical training🩺💉

Future nurse in the making! Anna Scott Buys, a rising junior, is spending her summer preparing for a future in healthcare. She is attending the Summer Nursing Academic Program through Clemson Summer Scholars🐅💜

She has earned certifications in CPR, 🩹Stop the Bleed, and AED use⚡. While the patient in the hospital bed may look real, It’s really just a training mannequin!!🏥

☀️We’re kicking off our summer adventures in “ Where in the World is D5” with Issac Waltz, a rising 7th grader at Florence Chapel Middle School.☀️

From helping heroes to meeting wild animals, his summer trip to Nashville, Tennessee, was one to remember. He and his family served as missionaries, helping veterans who struggle with PTSD🪖.

They also visited the zoo and saw a variety of wild animals. Sounds like so much fun!!
