Travis Watson, AVID teacher at Abner Creek Middle school, traveled to the Island nation of the Dominican Republic for an unforgettable educational journey! ✈️

Exploring the coastal city of Puerto Plata🌊, he immersed himself in local culture, took in some breath-taking views ⛰️, walked the vibrant historic streets, and visited the beautiful, centuries-old Catedral de San Felipe. As you can see from the photos, Mr. Watson even made a colorful new friend along the way—a magnificent macaw named Pedro! 🦜

Connor Larson and Noah Hood, both students at Berry Shoals Elementary School, knocked it out of the park on an incredible showing at the PG National World series 9u baseball tournament! 👏🏼Competing against 48 teams from across the country, their team finished top 16 🔥!

Connor pitched in multiple comeback victories, while Noah showcased his power at the plate with homeruns out of the park!🏆
