Future nurse in the making! Anna Scott Buys, a rising junior, is spending her summer preparing for a future in healthcare. She is attending the Summer Nursing Academic Program through Clemson Summer Scholars🐅💜

She has earned certifications in CPR, 🩹Stop the Bleed, and AED use⚡. While the patient in the hospital bed may look real, It’s really just a training mannequin!!🏥

☀️We’re kicking off our summer adventures in “ Where in the World is D5” with Issac Waltz, a rising 7th grader at Florence Chapel Middle School.☀️

From helping heroes to meeting wild animals, his summer trip to Nashville, Tennessee, was one to remember. He and his family served as missionaries, helping veterans who struggle with PTSD🪖.

They also visited the zoo and saw a variety of wild animals. Sounds like so much fun!!

Learning is in full swing at Abner Creek Middle School this summer! ☀️

🎉 Nearly 70 dedicated teachers are spending part of their summer sharpening their skills and gaining new tools to take back to their classrooms through Project Lead the Way (PLTW) training!🎉

From engineering and biomedical science to computer science 🖥️, this means MORE exciting STEM opportunities for students this coming school year!! 🔬

This week, an awesome group of Byrnes High School students are representing the Rebels and District Five at Palmetto Girls and Boys State! ❤️🤍💙 The program, sponsored by the American Legion, teaches students about government and leadership, while also instilling lessons of dedication and community 👏🏼

🎓 Byrnes High School Class of 2026 Graduation Update 🎓 Due to the forecasted rain and thunderstorms later this week, graduation has been moved to Wednesday, May 20. While Friday was originally scheduled as the rain date, updated forecasts show weather conditions are not expected to improve. Moving the ceremony to Wednesday gives us the best opportunity to celebrate outdoors and allow as many family members and loved ones as possible to attend. 📆 Wednesday, May 20 📍 Byrnes High School Nxon Field 🕒 7:30 PM Thank you for your flexibility and support as we celebrate the amazing Class of 2026! 💙

State CHAMPION x 2!!!!! 🥇🥇 Congratulations to Byrnes High junior, Chanin Harris, on winning the 5A state championship in the 100 and 200 meters!🏃🏾‍➡️ 1st time a Rebel runner has ever taken home gold in both events, & he broke his school records doing it! 🏆 Way to go, Choo!

🩺✨ The doctor is IN at Reidville Elementary! 🧑🏼‍⚕️🏥 1st graders recently walked into classrooms transformed into full-on operating rooms as they scrubbed in for a day of learning “surgery!” 🥼🚀 From diagnosing math problems ➕ to performing ELA “operations” 📚✂️, the students put their skills to the test in the most creative way! 💯👏 Learning + imagination = the perfect prescription for success! ❤️‍🩹 #WeAreD5

💧🍭 Small school ➡️ BIG impact!

Beta Club students from Lyman Elementary School raised an amazing $700 for clean water initiatives through World Vision and Golden View Baptist Church! 🌍🙌🏻Students celebrated this morning by presenting a check to Pastor Jeffery Williams after a week of raising awareness and selling Ring Pops for the cause! 👏🏻
