Elaine Ready, 8th grade science teacher at Florence Chapel Middle School, along with Mollie Wheeler, a K5 teacher at River Ridge Elementary School, travelled with their families to North Carolina to slide down the Sliding Rock⛰️. They also hiked scenic trails and chased waterfalls🏞️ What a way to make memories!

Cayson Foster-Spencer, a rising 7th grader at Beech Springs, placed 2nd in Javelin at the AAU Regional Championship and qualified for the Junior Olympics in Javelin and Discus🏅. He also finished Top 20 at the Club Championships in Jacksonville, competing against athletes from all 50 states🎊! What an achievement Cayson👏. Keep it up!

🌟Meet the interns! 🌟
This summer, across District Five, Byrnes High School students are participating in our district's summer internship program 💼
From the Public Relations and Maintenance departments⚒️, to Health Services🩺 and Technology 💻, these students are gaining real life skills and experience for the future! 💫
Today's intern is Easton Schrock! Easton is a rising junior at Byrnes High-School , and is interning in the Maintenance department with the turf crew 🌳. He plans to go to college in the future, and is considering landscaping as a possible career. About his internship experience, Easton says, "I like working at every school in the district. People are nice to talk to on the job."
