Nolan Copeland with certificate

This holiday season, residents across District Five will open up their mailboxes to find the artwork of a Tyger River Elementary School student inside! District Five is proud to announce that Nolan Copeland, a 5th grader at Tyger River, has been selected as the winner for our 2025 Holiday Card contest. Copeland, along with his art teacher Nancy Mabry, was honored by the District's Board of Trustees at their late November meeting.

The holiday card competition is an annual tradition in District Five that encourages young artists to create their most magical or festive holiday card designs. Art teachers from each of the district's eight elementary school solicit entries from students at all grade levels, and then select the top entries to send to the district for evaluation.

Along with a certificate and recognition by the Board of Trustees, Copeland receives 50 copies of his card to send to his friends and family this holiday season. A framed copy of his card will also be given to Tyger River Elementary School to display throughout the year.

Congratulations, Nolan!
