student carrying school lunch

Spartanburg District Five Schools is excited to announce that all students—elementary, middle, and high school—will receive free breakfast and lunch every school day during the 2025–26 school year.

This expansion is made possible through the district’s continued participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a federally funded program that allows qualifying school districts to offer meals at no cost to families. As a result:

  • No meal applications are required for any student.

  • All enrolled students will automatically receive free breakfast and lunch, regardless of household income.

  • The program will be in effect for the entire 2025–26 school year.

This initiative is part of District Five’s ongoing commitment to supporting student well-being and academic success by ensuring that every child has access to nutritious meals each day.
