Wellford Academy of Science and Technology - Where Dedication Meets Innovation

🎮➕ **MATH… but make it a GAME!** 🧠🏆

Students in **Ms. Williamson’s class** are leveling up their learning with **Gamified Math!** 🎯 From solving problems to tackling challenges, these students are putting their math skills to work while having a little friendly competition along the way!

When learning feels like play, **everyone wins!** 🙌✨

🔟➕1️⃣ BUILD IT. COUNT IT. LEARN IT! 🧮✨ Mrs. Wells’ students were getting hands-on with place value as they worked together to build two-digit numbers using cubes! ❤️ By breaking numbers into tens and ones, our mathematicians are building a strong understanding of what those digits REALLY mean—all while collaborating and learning together! 🧠👏 Hands-on learning + teamwork = a great day of math at Wellford! 🐺❤️

📚✨ **HARD WORK HAS ITS REWARDS!** ✨📚

Uzi Montoya earned a special reward for showing **excellent behavior and working hard**—and she chose to spend it reading to **Mrs. Benoit’s class!** ❤️

We love seeing our students celebrated for making great choices AND getting the chance to be a role model for our younger Wolves! 🐺📖

Way to go, Uzi! Keep leading the PACK! 🌟

❤️🐺 KINDNESS IS EVERYWHERE AT WELLFORD! 🐺❤️ Sometimes the biggest impact comes from the smallest moments. 🥹 👟 Second graders stopping to help friends tie their shoes. ❤️ A third grader noticing a sad first grader and taking the time to check on them. No one asked them to. No one told them to. They simply saw someone who needed a little kindness and stepped in. 🫶 THIS is the Wolfpack Way. 🐺❤️ Community + Kindness in action! We’re so proud of our students for taking care of one another and being helpful members of the PACK! 🐾

🚀 **BIG STEM ENERGY at Wellford Academy!** 🔬💡⚙️

Our **STEM Teacher Leaders** kicked off the year with a full day dedicated to **vision, collaboration, leadership, and INNOVATION!** From setting goals and dreaming big to planning meaningful STEM experiences for our students, this team is ready to take STEM learning at Wellford to the **NEXT LEVEL!** 🙌

And what better way to spark new ideas than by seeing STEM in action? 💧🧪 A huge **THANK YOU to SJWD** for allowing us to use the beautiful **Lyman Lake Lodge** and for giving our team an incredible behind-the-scenes tour of the water treatment plant!

🐔❤️ **THANK YOU to Duncan Chick-fil-A** for delivering a delicious lunch and keeping our team fueled for a great day!

And a very special **THANK YOU to our Wellford Academy Administration** for their vision, partnership, and continued support of STEM learning and teacher leadership. 🐺❤️

The ideas are flowing, the goals are set, and we can't wait to see what our STEM Teacher Leaders bring to our students this year! ✨

🐺❤️ Showing the WolfPACK Way! Even during Friday dismissal, our students are finding ways to make a difference! One of our 3rd graders noticed a classmate needed help tying his shoes and stepped in with kindness—helping him get ready so he could safely make his way down the steps. 🥹👏 Meanwhile, the rest of our 3rd graders waited patiently and respectfully, staying quiet and demonstrating perseverance as they waited for dismissal.
