EARTH DAY, EVERY DAY! Our First Grade Scientists have been learning about growth, development, and change while studying plants. They've been learning and exploring the life cycles and characteristics of plant life. As they read Informational Texts, Fiction, and Poetry, the plants are growing before their very eyes! 👀How cool! What do plants need to live and grow?🌱🌿🌻

Huge thanks to 4-H Youth Development, Clemson University, and Spartanburg County Farm Bureau for bringing the Hatching Egg Project to Wellford! 🐣

Six students (1 absent) from Ms. Walts' First Grade Class, earned a special "Picnic With Pals!" Each of these students met their Stretch Goal in BOTH iReady Reading AND iReady Math! What a celebration with cookies, drinks, ice cream, conversation, and laughs! A BIG thanks to Mrs. Kinard, Mr. Neyman, Officer Wright, and Ms. Walts for joining the party! Thanks for your hard work! Way to go!

Betas busy building bracelets! Our Beta Club members are hard at work for a great cause! ❤️✨
As part of their service project, students are creating and designing bracelets to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They’ll continue working on their bracelets and making signs to get ready to sell them at school in the mornings soon!
