All D5 schools & buildings will be closed on Wednesday. Teachers will be in touch regarding any eLearning assignments. Thank you and stay safe!

📢🥶Chilly shoutout to our amazing morning duty crew who braved the cold to greet our students with warm smiles and open car doors today! Your dedication sets the tone for a great day at Wellford Academy. Thank you for going above and beyond for our Wolfpack! ❤️🖤

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a visionary leader who dedicated his life to justice, equality, and the power of love to bring about change.
At Wellford Academy, we strive to live out his dream by fostering kindness, inclusion, and respect in our school community every day. Together, let’s continue to work toward creating a brighter future where every voice is heard, and every dream is valued.
Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Wolfpack! 🐾

4K STEM in Action! 🐻❄️ Mrs. Cielinski’s 4K students have been exploring what animals do in winter! In the science center, they’ve been learning all about bears and hibernation. Using their creativity and problem-solving skills, students designed caves and dens on paper, then brought their ideas to life using materials like magnet tiles, cubes, cotton balls, and popsicle sticks. Their designs turned into some amazing bear shelters! Great job, future engineers!

Fresh and flavorful fun! 🌿 Kindergarteners at Wellford Academy teamed up with Mrs. Sill to make homemade salsa using cilantro grown right here in our very own Hydroponic Farmstand. Hands-on learning has never been so tasty! 🌱🍅

Reminder: In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no school on Monday, January 20. Enjoy the long weekend, and we look forward to seeing our Wolfpack back on Tuesday!

🌱 Fresh and Local! 🌱
Mrs. Sill and Ms. Hill treated our 5th graders to a special experience today by sharing fresh lettuce grown right here at Wellford Academy in our very own Hydroponics Farmstand! Students got a firsthand look at the benefits of sustainable farming while enjoying a healthy, homegrown treat. Way to go, Wolfpack, for cultivating learning and wellness! 🥬

All District Five schools will be on NORMAL schedule for Tuesday, January 14. Thank you for your patience and understanding through this winter weather season. We look forward to seeing all students & staff bright and early tomorrow morning!

Out of an abundance of caution, all District Five schools will operate on a two hour delay on Monday, January 13..❄️
Due to this weekend's winter weather, ice still remains on roadways in outlying parts of our district. A two hour delay allows for more visibility for our buses, and all drivers.🚌🚗
Elementary schools will begin at 9:30 a.m. and middle & high school at 10:15 a.m.⏰ School buses will run two hours later than their normal pick up times.🚌. We look forward to seeing all students and staff tomorrow! #WeAreD5
