🏅**Way to go, Wolfpack!**🏅 Our Lego Robotics Team brought home a silver medal from today’s district competition! 🎉 These students have worked tirelessly over the past few months to build, code, and perfect their robots, and their hard work paid off in a big way! A huge thank you to Mrs. Sill, Mrs. Blizard, and Mrs. Hardin for their incredible leadership, guidance, and support throughout this journey. 💻🤖❤️ We are so proud of our team’s determination, teamwork, and creativity. 🐾⚾ We had a home run kind of day at Wellford Academy! Chuck, the beloved mascot from the Hub City Spartanburgers baseball team, made a special visit to our 2nd grade classrooms today! 🎉 He brought big smiles, high fives, and tons of excitement as he made his way through the halls—and even took a stroll through the lunchroom to surprise some lucky 1st graders too! 🥪😄 A huge thank you to the Hub City Spartanburgers for spending time with our Wolfpack—we loved every minute! 💙❤️

🐾 Yesterday was paws-itively amazing in 2nd grade at Wellford Academy! 🐶✨ Students had a special visit from therapy dogs and got to learn all about how to care for, interact with, and train our furry friends. From understanding a dog's needs to practicing a few training techniques, it was a tail-wagging good time filled with love, learning, and lots of smiles! 💛🐕📚

🍎🥦🛒 Mrs. Dobmeier’s class took a deliciously fun field trip to Lowe’s Foods today! Students learned all about creating a balanced meal, tasted a variety of healthy (and yummy!) samples, and even picked up a few new dance moves along the way! 💃🕺 Each student went home with a colorful balanced plate and a slice of cake to celebrate a day well spent. Big thanks to Lowe’s Foods for making learning so tasty and memorable! 🧁🎉

🐣 Exciting news at Wellford Academy! Our chick incubator from Clemson’s 4-H program has officially arrived! Over the next few weeks, students will observe the life cycle of a chicken—from egg to hatchling—in this egg-citing hands-on science experience! 🥚➡️🐥

🐾🚍 Some of our 4th grade classes had a wildly fun day on their rescheduled field trip to Roper Mountain Science Center! 🧪🦎 From hands-on science to up-close animal encounters, students explored, discovered, and learned all about the animal kingdom. It was the perfect mix of education and adventure, and we’re so glad the sunshine finally made this trip possible! ☀️🔬

🏅Sporty STEM Olympics at Wellford Academy! 🧠🏀🏹 While field day fun was happening outside, students inside were giving their brains a workout with our Sporty STEM Olympics! From basketball challenges to archery-themed engineering, our Wolfpack was busy problem-solving, building, and having a blast. 🎯💡 It was a day full of teamwork, creativity, and STEM-tastic fun for kids of all ages! We loved seeing our students rise to the challenge and think like engineers and athletes. 👟⚙️💪

🚀🔬 Kindergarten had a blast during a special visit from Spartanburg Science Center! Our little scientists were wide-eyed with wonder as they explored cool creatures and learned all about the amazing world around them. 🌍🦎🔍 Thank you to the Spartanburg Science Center for sparking curiosity and bringing science to life for our youngest learners! 🧪💡

🌱 All Things Plants with Farm Bureau! 🌱 Our 2nd graders had an exciting Learning Lab visit on Wednesday, April 16, diving into the world of plants! With help from the Farm Bureau team, students explored what plants need to survive through an interactive Nearpod lesson and a hands-on lab. Each student created their very own soybean living necklace and will now get to observe their seed sprout right in a bag—what a fun way to watch science come to life! 🌿🫘

🐣💬 Hoppin’ into spring with our favorite peeps! Yesterday’s Chat and Chew, hosted by our amazing Special Education Department and awesome Related Arts teachers, was a "hopping" good time! 🐰💛 From sweet treats to good conversations, we loved spending time with our incredible staff family.
