🎉 We recently celebrated our amazing Induction Teachers and all they accomplished during their first year at Wellford Academy! Congratulations on making it through your first year — your hard work, dedication, and passion for students made a difference every single day. 🍎✨

Before taking the state science test, our fourth grade students wrote notes of encouragement and thanks to their teachers for preparing them all year long! 💙🔬

We are so proud of their kindness, gratitude, and hard work! We know we “donut" have to stress for this test!🍩

💌 Our K-2 students spread so much love and encouragement last week and earlier this week as they visited our 3-5 classes before testing! From positive affirmations and sweet cards to thoughtful gifts and kind words, they made sure our older students felt supported, confident, and ready to shine. 🌟 We love seeing our Wolfpack lifting each other up and showing that we are stronger together. Congratulations to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders on finishing all SC Ready testing! ❤️🐺

🐣 Ms. Williamson’s class had some very special visitors today… CHICKS! 🐥 Students loved getting to learn about the life cycle up close and had so much fun observing and interacting with the fluffy little friends. What an egg-citing day of hands-on learning! ❤️🐺

Ms. Goldsmith and Mrs. Drummond’s kindergarteners became published authors as they wrote and illustrated their very own class book about what they want to be when they grow up! 👩‍🚒👨‍⚕️👩‍🏫

To celebrate, they enjoyed a fun publishing party complete with a water bar and a special class read-aloud of their book. We are so proud of our young writers and their BIG imaginations! ❤️🐺

Mrs. Heffner’s 2nd graders wrapped up their reading unit in the best way—by learning about and celebrating the diversity that makes their classroom so special! 🌍📚 From sharing stories to appreciating each other’s unique backgrounds, these students showed that our differences make us stronger together. ❤️🐺

Peep peep! 🐥 Ms. Wooley’s class had some VERY special visitors today—our adorable Wellford chicks! 💛

Students got an up-close look at these fluffy friends and learned all about their growth and care. Lots of smiles, curiosity, and maybe a few “aww” moments filled the room!

Clear eyes, bright futures! 👓✨ Our students have been buzzing with excitement as we partnered with Vision To Learn to make sure every child can see their best. Every student received a vision screening, and those who needed glasses were carefully checked multiple times to get the perfect fit. Today was the big day—FREE glasses were delivered and fitted, and the smiles said it all! We are beyond grateful for this incredible opportunity to support our students’ success in and out of the classroom. ❤️🐺 A huge Wellford thank you to Mrs. Sheila who has scheduled all the visits and Nurse Holly for all her help through this process! Today we celebrate our very own superhero, Nurse Holly!! 🦸‍♀️🩹❤️‍🩹 From bandaging scraped knees and elbows to caring for our students and staff with kindness and compassion, she keeps our school safe, healthy, and smiling every single day. Day 2️⃣ and 3️⃣ of Teacher Appreciation Week and our teachers could not be more excited!! Day 2 fed our "very hungry teachers" a delicious breakfast buffet of bagels 🥯 and fruit 🍓! Day 3 took us out "where the wild things are" for a fun trail mix bar and cozy candles! 🕯️ Thank you to our PTO for fueling us with goodies this week!
