Our student council had a "pie your teacher" fundraiser through the month of November. Our school raised $117 to go towards scholarships for our student's field trips. The teacher who had the most money in her bag was Ms. Cummings who took it like a champ! 🥧


"Plaid-tidings we bring, to you and your kin!" Today our halls were filled with plaid everywhere we looked! 🧣








Our band students put on an awesome performance last night at their winter concert. We are so proud of their progress so far! 🎺🎷🥁🎶









Mrs. Gregory's classes have been studying the Renaissance. They created posters of famous artists and philosophers from that time period. Look how fantastic they did! 🖼️🎨✨

Mrs. Landon's class took it back old school and made homemade butter today. 🧈 They applied their knowledge of states of matter to discuss the changes as they took turns "shaking it off" as she says. Once it was done, they all were able to eat a slice of bread with their own butter on it. 🧈











Ms. Cummings students competed in a variety of thanksgiving themed STEM challenges today. I'd say we have a few engineers on our hands!🏗️










Mrs. Robertson's students had some turkey practice today in class! 🦃


Today our students wore

🥼We had some doctors in training at Beech Springs today.🩺 Mrs. Landon and Mrs. McCrary's classes suited up to head into the "OR" today and make their rounds. 👩⚕️🧑⚕️They listened to their patients history to figure out which body systems were affected and give a diagnosis. What a great way to apply their knowledge to real life situations! 🩻 #handson #sciencerocks











Mrs. Maxton's classes created their own filter system to clean water today. What a useful lesson to engage our students! 💦💧






Our Madden Club kicked off last week. Students were able to meet with our club sponsors and learn the rules of the club and game. We are so excited for this opportunity as it will keep our students accountable. Our rules include that all work in their classes must be completed before they are allowed to play. They'll also learn team building skills as they work together. Thank you again to our generous donors for the gaming systems! 🏈🎮






Mr. Johnson's infamous recess kickball tournament has returned. Today was a practice round with Mr. Johnson's teams vs Mrs. Landon's. Who will be crowned the winner? Stay tuned to find out! 🤾♂️




Ms. Lee's classes have been using trail mix recipes to practice their fraction skills. So what better way to culminate their activity than by making their own trail mix in class to enjoy while they work. We love it when teachers make it FUN! 🍫🥨










Our music students performed for their teachers and staff to show their progress and success during their time with Mrs. Shiflett. They did a wonderful job! 🎶🎵











Our students put on a wonderful celebration ceremony today for Veteran's day.🇺🇸 Students from after school choir, drama, band, and orchestra all performed. Student council members helped lead our guest to their seats and that all ran smoothly. We honored our Veteran's with a light breakfast after our ceremony. 🍳🥞We can never express how thankful we are for our Veteran's and their service! 🇺🇸











Students in Mrs. Emerson's theatre class showcased their hard work by performing in front of their peers and teachers this past week. They did a phenomenal job! 🎭


Some of our students participated in a Pokémon trading event last week after school. They learned to barter and collaborate to make deals while trading. What a fun event it was. Thanks Ms. Grummel for putting this together for our kids! ⚡️











Mrs. Gregory's science class used legos to model body organization! They showed how groups of cells 🧫 interact to create different systems in the body. What a fun way to learn. 🧱
