Today in Ms. Johnson’s class, they discussed classroom expectations and procedures. Then came the surprise: It was students' turn to share THEIR expectations for her!
Students shared that they want their teacher to be kind-hearted, respectful, funny, “chill,” keep grades updated, slow down when they’re writing or typing, and… give them donuts when they’re good! 🍩😂
We love that our students know their voices matter. The best classrooms are built together! 💜

The Case of Mrs. Egan: SOLVED…maybe. 🔬🕵️♀️
Today, our student scientists completed a Mrs. Egan Scavenger Hunt, making qualitative and quantitative observations and using evidence and prior experiences to make inferences. 🧠💡Of course, Mrs. Egan may have planted a few suspicious pieces of evidence. Some inferences were spot on. Others fell right into the trap!
Science skills practiced. 🔬
Evidence collected. 📋
Mrs. Egan thoroughly investigated. 🧐
Case closed. ✅

Mrs. Grijalva’s 7th Grade ELA students are currently learning how to communicate professionally in a digital world— an important real-life skill they’ll use throughout school, future careers, and beyond! 💻

Mrs. Kinard’s students kicked off the year with some fun team-building challenges designed to get them thinking, communicating, and working together! 🎉 Students had to listen to one another, share ideas, try different strategies, and problem-solve as a team—all while having a little fun along the way! 🐾

Students in Mrs. Nodine’s classes have been practicing as archeologists today!

Mrs. Shuler's class participated in a gallery walk to preview summaries of novels they will be reading this year. 📖 They also rated the ones they thought they might enjoy the most based on their own personal reading interests. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yesterday, Ms. Johnson’s 6th graders had some really great conversations about what respect looks, sounds, and feels like in their classroom. It was amazing hearing their thoughts and seeing them reflect on the kind of classroom community they want to be part of. 💜 Building relationships, listening to each other, and making sure everyone feels valued are all part of what it means to "Go Be Great!" 🐾

How cool is this?! Mrs. Parson’s AR Robotics students made drive shafts and motors, and began to code in automation. 🧑💻👩💻🤖

Mrs. Bunney's classes had to "Find My Friends" today! Students completed a name word search without a word bank, so they had to walk around the classroom, introduce themselves, and ask their classmates' names to find each one. It was a fun way to break the ice, build connections, and start creating the classroom community! 🐾

Marshmallow Tower Challenge in Dr. Knebel’s Class! 🍡🏗️ Students put their teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills to the test with the Marshmallow Tower Challenge! Using only marshmallows and toothpicks, they worked together to build the tallest and most stable tower they could.
There were plenty of creative ideas, a few tower crashes, lots of laughs, and even more teamwork! 💡🙌 It was a fun hands-on activity that encouraged communication, perseverance, and thinking outside the box.
Great job, everyone! 🎉🏗️

Mrs. Cloninger’s students participated in an engineering challenge to recall science terms and practice team work. They had to write terms on a note card and use those note cards to build as tall of a tower as they could. 🐾

Students in Mrs. Crabtree’s classes are working in groups to see who can put together a 100 piece puzzle the fastest, building community and team building! 😊
