Mrs. Mackey’s afternoon fifth graders met with Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Almond’s kindergartners for the first time today.   They spent time getting to know each other and throughout the year these classes will partner up as reading and writing buddies. 📖📝 What a great way to end the week!

Mrs. Roper and Ms Eliott's kindergarten class invited police officers and firefighters to their class so they could honor them on 9/11. We are so grateful for their service and protection.

Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Almond’s kindergarten class harnessed the sun to make solar ovens yesterday to make s’mores. ☀️🍫 They had to wait patiently all day until the sun came out...but it was worth the wait. Reinforcing the letter "Ss" with a little treat never tasted so good.

Our 1st graders had a blast learning how to pick their "Just Right Books"! 📚

They cozied up in tents with reading buddies right in the library after Mrs. Smith read "Goldie Socks and the Three Librarians." It was the perfect way to try out their book choices and practice finding stories that fit them just right.

Srock, the new Duncan Police Dept puppy, came to visit the Terriers today! He explored the school and spent some time with our kindergarten students. What a sweet surprise! 🐶🐾💚

Thank you to everyone for helping us have a great first week at TRE! Please review the following updates for car line and dismissal procedures.

🐾 Starting Monday, parents who need to pick up students for early dismissal between 1:00pm-1:45pm may use the staff entrance to enter the parking lot. The gate will remain open. No early dismissals will be allowed after 1:45pm.

🐾 Parents who enter the staff gate after 1:45 will not be allowed to pick up their student until after carline dismissal is complete.

🐾 If you do not have a car tag, you must park and come into the front office with a valid ID to pick up your student.

🐾 Both lanes can be now be used to line up for car rider pickup.

🐾 If there is a transportation change, please write a note to your child's teacher.
