On Monday, Mr. Daugherty had the honor of being taped to our flagpole by the three classes that met their reading goals first!
Mrs. Knepp's PM 4K class, Mrs. Lee's 5K class, and Mrs. Jackson's 1st grade class worked together to tape Mr. Daugherty to the pole. He then treated the classes to a special reading of "Pete the Cat!"
It was a great day to be a reader at TRE! 💚📖🎉

Ms. Staggs' kindergarten class just hatched beautiful butterflies! 🦋
The students were so excited to release them and say goodbye to their new fluttery friends.

What a fantastic day at the first Tyger River Elementary School Field Day! 🌟 Students had a blast running, jumping, and playing together under the sun.
Check back later for more fun pictures!
Huge THANK YOU to our amazing PE teacher, Brooklyn Howell, for planning such a fun and memorable event. Your hard work made this day unforgettable for everyone! 🙌🎉 #FieldDayFun #ElementaryJoy

Today, we got to celebrate a huge accomplishment for our students. We were challenged to read 8,100 books as a school from January to May, and we passed that goal and read over 11,000 books!
We are so proud of our #readingterriers!
As a reward, our students go to "camp out and read!" Way to go Terriers! 📖🐾⛺️🔦

Spring is in the air! This morning, Mrs. Harvey's class checked on the flowers they have been growing and spent some time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. 🪻☀️🌱

🌟 Happy School Nurse Appreciation Day! 🌟
Today, we want to give a special shoutout to our amazing school nurse, Stacey Story! 🩺💖
Nurse Stacey is always there with a warm smile and caring heart, ensuring our students stay healthy and happy. From tending to bumps and bruises to providing comfort during tough days, she plays a vital role in our school community.
Thank you, Stacey, for your dedication and support! You truly make a difference in the lives of our students and staff. 🙌✨

For the past week, Mrs. Rice and Ms. Wood's classes have been earning money to spend at their class ice cream store! 🍨🍦🪙
Students practiced their math skills by counting their money, deciding what they wanted, and deciding what they could get from the store with the amount of money they earned. What a great (and tasty) example of using math in the real world!

This week, we're celebrating the amazing educators who inspire, nurture, and empower our students every day! 🎉 Let's take a moment to show our gratitude for their hard work and dedication.
We invite you to give a shoutout to your Terrier teachers in the comments below! 💬👇 Share a special memory or let them know how they've made a difference in your life.

On Friday, April 18th, our third-grade students showcased their creativity and hard work during the much-anticipated Annual Wax Museum. Families, friends, and faculty gathered in the school cafeteria to witness a spectacular display of historical figures brought to life by our Terriers.
Dressed in costumes that represented their chosen figures, each student took on the role of a notable character, ranging from famous inventors and artists to influential leaders. The students spent weeks researching their figures, learning about their contributions to society, and practicing their presentations.
As attendees explored the exhibits, they were greeted by a variety of characters who shared fascinating insights about their lives and achievements. From athletes like Michael Jordan to civil rights leaders such as Malala Yousafzai, the students exhibited not only their knowledge but also their passion for history.
The event not only highlighted the students' academic achievements but also fostered confidence and public speaking skills. Our First Annual Wax Museum was a huge success and a memorable experience for all involved. We look forward to next year’s event and can’t wait to see what our future third graders will bring to the stage!
