READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK
March 3 - 7

Today our 2nd and 3rd grade students enjoyed watching a production put on by the Spartanburg Youth Theater called Balloonacy! This silly, yet heartwarming story about the importance of friendship and having fun was a great way for students to practice using their inferencing skills because there were no words! Students had to infer what was happening through watching the main character’s expressions and actions. At the end of the play, students learned about the theatrical term pantomime and practiced how to pantomime with the actors! It was such a fun morning! 🎈

🚀 Our February artists of the month just happen to be two of our outstanding 5th graders! Congratulations to Kate and Peyton! 🎨

We also wanted to let you know that we are collecting pop tabs. In January of 2023 our school lost a wonderful member of our student body. During Johnathan's courageous fight, he and his family received so much support from The Ronald McDonald House. This organization collects pop tabs to raise money each year. We are wanting to collect a large number of pop tabs to RMH on Johnathan's birthday, March 7th. Please send in any pop tabs that your family may collect.
We appreciate in advance any tab donation you bring us in memory of Johnathan.

⭐️ ATTENTION ⭐️
Selected students aged 2nd-5th grade will be coming home with letters today regarding the Performance Task Assessment. 🚀
