Wrestling (Boys and Girls) open season workouts will begin Wednesday September 4th. Workouts will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the month of September. Workouts will take place in the Byrnes HS wrestling room 4:00-5:30. This is for beginning and experienced wrestlers. Athletes must have their physical and all forms completed on PlanetHS/Big Teams in order to participate. Middle School Students will ride the activity bus to Byrnes and parents will need to pick them up at Byrnes after workouts.
Underclass Picture Day is THIS WEEK on Thursday, September 5! All students in grades 10 and 11 will take underclassmen pictures during the school day on Thursday. Make-up underclass pictures will be held on Friday October 18.

Tomorrow we will begin our FLEX schedule which changes the bell schedule. All students will report to their REBS class during their FLEX period. PM RDA/MSC students will remain at those locations.
What is FLEX?
FLEX is a 30-minute academic support/enrichment period built into the school day for remediation and enrichment for all students held after 3rd period and before 4th period from 1:24-1:54pm each day.

We will have a MANDATORY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION on Wednesday April 17 @ 3:35 pm in the Courtyard of the Rebel Cafe. You must participate in this session in order to be added on the final ballot. Wrestling open season started on
Wednesday April 10 at Byrnes High School wrestling room. Workouts will be 4:00-5:30 on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.
Athletes will need a new physical dated April 1 2024 or later to be eligible to work out.

You should apply for Junior Leadership Spartanburg!
This year-long experience gives students a chance to learn about being a leader in their school & community, opportunities to volunteer their time and learn about their local and state government!
If selected to participate in Junior Leadership Spartanburg, students will meet once a month with other students who are also a part of JLS from each high school in Spartanburg county. Monthly meetings will focus on topics such as the history of Spartanburg, healthcare, manufacturing, local government, etc. These meetings would count as an excused absence from school.
Students interested in applying, should pick up an application in Guidance! Only CURRENT 10th grade students are eligible to apply.
Completed applications are due to Mrs. Ivey by May 10th!!

Seniors if you need any help with your FAFSA there will be a Completion Workshop April 18 from 4-7 at the Downtown SCC Campus (220 E Kennedy St, Spartanburg, SC 29302).
