Inspire. 🖍️Mrs. Long’s Art classes are finishing up their first Daily Drawing Week using mixed media! ✏️Mrs. Long’s Art 1 students worked on their colored pencil overlapping initials project! 🪡Mrs. Long’s Art Appreciation students Peer Reviewed and completed Faith Ringgold inspired quilts. 🎻Mrs. Grant’s Concert Orchestra class worked on the Star Spangled Banner and explored outdoor acoustics. 🎨Mrs. Sheehan’s Art 1 students from worked on unusual and funny sketches and ribbon doodle designs in mixed medias. 🎶 Mr. Gunter’s chorus class worked on Singing the Star Spangled Banner.

⚛️Discover & Design Thursday — Calculate. Experiment. Create. Mrs. Graham’s Chemistry class collaborated on their Dimensional Analysis Review.

📐 Discover & Design Thursday — Calculate. Experiment. Create. ➕Mrs. Gilmore’s Precalculus class worked on Math Tutorials for Unit 1. 🟰Dr. Mathews Algebra 1 Honors class worked together to prepare for an assessment on equivalent equations. 🧐Ms. Mathews AP Calculus class worked on a project investigating limits using Desmos. ➗Mr. Rider’s Algebra 2 class worked on the Remainder Theorem and the Factor Theorem. 👥Mrs. Coker’s Honors Precalculus classes worked together in groups to prepare for their test tomorrow. 📐Mrs. Stell’s Geometry students worked on a blueprint project applying their knowledge of points, lines, planes and angles.

Experience It. 🏦Coach Hicks students are working on a budgeting project for Personal Finance.   📍Mr. Morton’s Honors Economics Class are working on an Inquiry Project - Is Private Landownership Compatible with Conservation? 🇺🇸Ms. Thompson’s US History Class is reviewing for their test by annotating their notes and playing gimkit.

🖥️Tech Tuesday🖥️ Our Career and Technology Education classes are busy!! Mrs. Brinson's classes participated in Career Exploration with some members from the SCARNG. Students were tasked with building a "Future Timeline" and discussing it with their classmates while also exploring different college, scholarship, and career options. Mr. Warren's Broadcasting students continue to work hard to prepare the first episode of Byrnes Broadcasting which is set to air to the student body on August 26th.

Open season for Boys Wrestling will begin Wednesday September 2. Practices will be in the wrestling room at Byrnes High School and will run 4:00-5:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the month of September. Middle school athletes can ride the activity bus over for these workouts. Anyone interested in wrestling can attend these practices.
