Our entire staff is so grateful to several local businesses who were very generous with us today! Nth Degree Orthodontics and Ryan Homes provided Chick Fila biscuits with coffee and tea for breakfast. Also Pizza Inn of Duncan donated a heaping load of amazing desserts for us. We were treated to amazing food and drink by our incredibly kind sponsors! Thank you! 🐓🍪☕️🫐🧋

The FCMS staff was treated by our admin to a canine-themed lunch today, with lots of amazing food. Special thanks to Mr. Kay for manning the grill full of hot dogs and brats. Trish, Sam, and others did a load of work getting everything ready for us. It was an awesome start to Teacher Appreciation Week!

FCMS owes a huge thank you to the Alliance of Therapy Dogs and the Spartanburg Humane Society for sharing some incredible dogs with our teachers today! The pups were so warm and loving, and the staff appreciated their happy faces and wagging tails. They brought such a good vibe into our school and we loved having them amongst us so very much. It was a great gift for us today!

The FCMS 7th and 8th grade bands had their state Concert Performance Assessment today. They prepared 3 pieces to play for 3 judges. They also sightread a new piece of music that our students have never seen before. They had a scant 6 minutes to work through the new piece without playing on instruments (no sounds allowed), then played that piece for 1 judge.
Bands can earn a superior, excellent, good, fair, or poor. All 4 judges gave both bands the highest possible rating of superior which means that BOTH BANDS EARNED A SUPERIOR WITH DISTINCTION! This is a huge accomplishment and a testament to the hard work of the students and directors!
