Happy Labor Day! And thank you to 6th grade teacher Brandi Pearson and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Epsilon Beta Omega Chapter of Spartanburg’s Uplift Our Local Community Program Initiative Committee, and the Connection and Social Action Committee. They presented a donation, as part of Project Fresh Start, to assist the students at Florence Chapel Middle School. These items included soaps, toothbrushes, toothpastes, deodorant, hand sanitizers, lotions and wipes.
Thank you, Mr. Kay, for approving the donation. Thank you to the guidance counselors and nurse for distributing these items to the students as needed. ❤️

Girls Wrestling! Open to 7th-12th Grade Girls- No experience in wrestling needed.
Open season is a time to learn wrestling and try it out. Girl’s wrestling is a no cut sport. Byrnes had 21 girls between their HS and MS team last season. Girls wrestling is on the rise at Byrnes and they would be so excited to have you as part of their team!


House Spirit Competition this Friday! 📣


FCMS would like to congratulate our very own Charley Morgan for her BIG win this summer! 🥇Out of over 800 contestants, Charley won 1st place in the 5d Round 2 Youth Barrel Race hosted in Perry, GA by the NBHA World Championships! Her horses are named Pepper and Smash. Did your cougar accomplish something awesome? Let us know! Way to go, Charley! 💙

“Math speed dating! 💡 Students in Mrs. Green's 6th grade classes became ‘experts’ on an integer problem, swapped with their math date, and had just 2 minutes to solve. They checked answers, helped each other, and then rotated to the next date.
