There’s still time! The Reading All-Stars Challenge runs through February 13th!
Students who complete the challenge and turn in their reading log to their ELA teacher will earn:
⚾ a complimentary ticket voucher to the Reading All-Stars Celebration Game at Fluor Field AND they will be honored on the field at one of the celebration games on Sunday, May 3rd or Sunday, May 17th.

We’re so excited to cheer on our Florence Chapel Junior Beta Club at the Beta Club Convention in Myrtle Beach! This historic first includes competitions in performing arts, engineering, robotics, drawing, painting, photography, woodworking, multimedia, and more. 🎨🤖🧮 Congratulations to Lachlen Dinger and Shelby Decker who have already placed in Math and Computer Science. They will be headed to Nationals this summer! And best of luck to all competitors as they represent our school with excellence!

All-State Orchestra auditions were held this weekend, and Jackson Lui earned a spot in the 1st Violin section—ranking 17th overall! He’s the only D5 middle school student to qualify and the highest-ranking violinist from Spartanburg County.
Congrats to all who auditioned, and way to go, Jackson! He’ll perform at All-State at Furman University February 20–22. 👏

It was a great day for our girl wrestlers at the first ever home tournament, The Lady Rebels Classic. Ella Walters placed 1st and earned the MOW of the event. Ella is still undefeated! Katelynn Perry took 3rd place at the event. Middle School took 3rd place as a team. Way to go, Cougars and Rebels!

Mrs. Ferrell’s 6th grade ELA classes logged those reading minutes early, and the Beanstack bean plush they won finally arrived—right over Christmas break! The bean is IN and reading wins! 🫘✨
Mrs. Thomas’ classes played “Nailed It: Dangerous South American Animals” and students had a blast trying to recreate a classmate’s animal drawing. Then they backed up their scores using Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning like true pros. #CougarsLEAD

Byrnes Men's Soccer: Reminder open season starts Tuesday for all 7th-12th grade athletes who have completed their forms in BigTeams. All middle schools will run an activity bus to Beech Springs each day. Please bring cleats, running shoes and a ball with you.
