AVID Elective students participated in a List-Group-Label strategy as an introduction to the Focused Note Taking unit. After listing types of note taking inside and outside of school, students grouped and labeled them. Next week all classes will review each other's work.

Sixth and seventh grade AVID students participated in team building exercises on Friday. Today's Scooter Cup Challenge winners were 7th Grade at 36 seconds followed by 6th grade with 53 seconds. Way to go teams!!!

Monday: Wear your favorite football jersey
Tuesday: Twin Day
Wednesday: Purple Out (wear all purple)
Thursday: Wear school colors for our first pep rally (gold and black)
Friday: Show your Rebel Pride and wear Byrnes colors (blue, red and white)
Student Council and Walking Club will be selling lollipops in the mornings for Walking Club's community service outreach, Walk to End Alzheimer's

Orchestra students and families join us for our D5 Orchestra Skate Night on Wednesday, October 8th from 6-8pm at Roebuck Skate Center. A guardian must accompany middle school students. Siblings and parents are also welcome to skate! $10 per person at the door. Pizza and drink included. Only $5 for D5 Orchestra students.
