After School Care Program
Beech Springs Intermediate School is excited to offer an After School Care Program. Rates are affordable and have not increased since our program began. The After School Program will provide a daily snack, homework assistance, and activity time. After dismissal, students will report to the program located within our school. Beech Springs After School Care program employs dedicated and caring counselors. Our counselors work hard to ensure the safety of all the students that are enrolled in the program. Hours:
Hours are 2:50 - 5:30
Students must be picked up no later than 5:30 pm. After 5:30 pm a late fee of $5.00 will be accessed, after which an additional fee of $5.00 for every 10 minutes thereafter. The third late pick up may result in dismissal from the program. If you have an emergency and need to be late please call, we will work with you and no late fee will be charged the first time once a month.
Students will be released to the After School Program when school is dismissed at 2:50 each day.
If school is canceled or dismissed early for any reason, After School Program will not operate.
After School will not operate on the half days.
Payments:
Registration fee of $50. This fee will pay for the last week of After School (May 20 - 24) , and includes the fee for the end of the year party.
$50 is the total charge per week or $15 daily for the After School Program.
Full payment must be made on Monday of each week. After two weeks of nonpayment students will not be allowed to return until full payment is made.
NOTE: After school care provides full-time and part-time care for students. Full-time slots will receive priority for enrollment in the After School Program.
Snack:
Snacks will be provided for each student; however, students are welcome to bring their own snack if preferred.
Students need to bring a water bottle with them each day. We can not provide cups.
Homework:
Homework time will be provided each day.
Our counselors will provide individual help, as needed, during homework time.
Students will be given up to 1 hour to complete homework. Any homework not completed during that time must be finished at home.
If you prefer that your child does his/her homework at home, a note will be required.
Activities:
We will offer a variety of activities and clubs each day to ensure that students have a fun and busy time while in After School.
Activities include: game centers, computer lab, gym time, both outside and inside free play.
One of the goals of our After School Program is to provide an environment that encourages building friendships and learning to work together. We include activities such as indoor and outdoor team games and group board games that insure our students have the opportunity to grow in their social skills and learn how to work together while having fun.
Pick-up:
Students will be dismissed from the front office.

Our phones do not ring after 6pm, if you know that you are going to be late please call before 6 or call my cell- 864-345-5520.
Parents must come inside to pick-up and sign out students.
