Mrs. McCrary and Mrs. Landon's science🥼 classes used slinkies to demonstrate transverse and longitudes waves today with a partner. They then used their observation 🔍 and inference skills to describe the differences between both. Way to go Panthers! 🐆
Our AVID students were graced with a visit from Chief Gregg Satterfield who came and spoke about a career in Law Enforcement and Public Service. We are grateful for the community support we have here and how they pour into our Panthers!
Mrs. McCrary's 8th graders used their inquiry skills to solve the case of the junkyard crane today and create an electromagnet. Way to apply their knowledge to problem solve. Great job Panthers!

Some of our 🎼choir students traveled to a choral clinic today at Converse University. They will have their performance tonight at 6pm in the recital hall of the music building. 🎼
Help us congratulate the newest 23 members who were inducted into our Beech Springs Beta club chapter tonight at the FAC. We can't wait to see how these students step up and become leaders within their club and school.

Our 8th graders had the unique opportunity to talk to Caleb Ritchea from Dollywood today and ask all the FUN questions. He is a rides maintenance supervisor and let them know all the ins and outs of ride maintenance, what happens when a rollercoaster goes down, the tallest ride in the park, and his favorite of them all. He even threw in vocabulary our students have learned, and helped relate it to his favorite ride-mystery mine. Students then were able to take a ✨virtual✨ ride to see exactly how inertia affects the coaster. Special thanks to Dollywood and Kevin Patton for helping set up this wonderful opportunity for our kids!
Born to rock, forced to go to school. Today we close out our Rock Your School week. It's been so fun seeing our Panthers participate each day! We can't wait to send off our contributions to those affected by Helene.

Our 7th & 8th graders were able to sign up for a lunch & learn today. A representative from State Farm Insurance came and spoke to them about a career in the insurance business-from management to administration! They even were provided with pizza! 🍕

Today is Career Day where teachers wear shirts of local businesses and discuss those career opportunities with their students! ✨
Our student council met this morning with their classroom representatives for the first time. They discussed upcoming events like our 💓Pink Out day and our Veterans Day program that will include a poetry contest! Stay tuned for more information on those! 🇺🇸

This past week, Joshua Bryant from Spartanburg Community College 🏫 came and spoke to our Beech Springs students during their lunch. Students were able to ask Mr. Bryant questions about college and the great opportunities that SCC has to offer. They were able to even learn about the possibilities to start taking dual credit college courses at Byrnes and potentially saving them $$ later. 🙌
