We are so excited to share some of our new staff for next year!
First up, Mrs. Jamie Landon!
What inspired her to become a teacher?
"My own teachers and how they made me feel seen and heard, and how that built my confidence through learning. I hope to provide that same space to my students each year with the relationships we build."
A little bit about her...
"I'm a wife to a wonderful husband for over 10 years, and we have two energetic boys, Charlie and Amos, who keep us busy. We are in the process of moving, where my boys will attend ACA. We like to travel to new places, go camping, and enjoy being outside. I enjoy all things Taylor Swift, pickleball, watching sports (Go Tigers!) and being active. I traveled to 7 countries across Europe in 14 days with a group of students last year, and it was such a fun learning experience! I'm a huge prankster, and love to make things fun."
Ms. Loving's class and their buddies had the best St. Patrick's Day!

Our first Wolf Pack Club Day was a hit! So many fun groups! From running, to history, to beading, painting, and puzzles. We can't wait for the next Club Day! 🐺

Mrs.Bo’s ELA classes participated in a We Listen and We Don’t Judge argumentative rant today. Students had to pick a topic they felt passionate about, write about it, and then present their claim and reasons to the whole class. They could only speak if they had the power present light saber.

We are proud of our 6th grade choral students who represented Abner Creek today at their first SCMEA Choral Clinic. We enjoyed learning from Jonathan Welch from Gold Hill Middle School and hearing some fabulous choral groups from the upstate.

Students in Mrs. Williams’ Medical Detectives are using the Experimental Design Process to figure out the most effective antibiotic.

The English I honors students had a red carpet day to showcase their book trailers they made in WeVideo! Students had to summarize the story, use cliffhanger elements, and visual and music that fit the mood of the story. And no viewing party is complete without snacks. ❤️

🎬✨ Lights, Camera, Action! 🍿
Mrs. Edge’s English 1 Honors class went full Hollywood mode while designing book trailers in WeVideo! 🎥📚 From editing scenes, to adding dramatic effects, students turned their favorite books into cinematic masterpieces. What’s a premiere without popcorn 🍿 and a red carpet? 🌟 They celebrated their hard work in style—because every great book deserves a blockbuster trailer!

Chorus students had the opportunity to participate in a clinic today with Dr. Greg Graf from North Greenville University, along with the other D5 middle and high schools. They will apply what they learned today as they prepare for their concert performance assessment at the end of the month.
