Mrs. Fisher’s 6th grade advanced ELA class analyzed figurative language from the book The Crossover by Kwame Alexander. They performed the poems in small groups and taught the class what types of figurative language were present in that poem and how they impact the reader’s understanding of the text. They also created inferencing questions from the text to ask the class. Very entertaining and informative!
