Students in Mrs. Linkous' 6th grade social studies classes used hexagonal thinking to learn all about how they are each connected in some way! Now, they can use that strategy with new vocabulary too!

Today was National Baseball Fan Day so our Sunshine Committee went all out! The halls were full of favorite jerseys and hats and everyone was treated to an ice cream bar during lunch! Let's just say they hit it out of the park! ⚾️

Big shoutout to Ms.Dillingham and her class for such a creative and engaging way to review angles! By using their names, students are not only learning about different types of angles, but also personalizing their learning experience. Measuring and coloring angles found in letters is a fun method to visualize math concepts.

Ms. Phillips' class worked on some problem solving today with a breakout challenge. Students were challenged with solving the twisty wrist puzzle. Students were paired up and linked together. Their task was to work free without untying, breaking, cutting, or removing the wrist loops. Students were asked to: 1. Identify the problem 2. Analyze the problem 3. Generate possible solutions. 4. Evaluate and select a plan. 5. Test the plan. 6. Reflect and try again as many times as needed to solve the puzzle!
