Yesterday, the 6th grade drama class performed their final semester performance about the moon landing. Students narrated, acted, and ran the lights. What an awesome end to the first semester!

Eighth grade Art Honors students created portraits of popular authors in our library. Each portrait is displayed in the library where books by that author are located! They did an amazing job!
Last week Chef Shaun Bezuidenhout, a Chef and Culinary Arts instructor at Spartanburg Community College visited us for Wolves of the Workforce. Chef Bez is originally from South Africa and has worked in Ireland, throughout Europe, and Asia! He shared a wealth of knowledge on the culinary industry. Thank you, Chef Bez, for taking time out of your day to meet with us!

We are so proud of our Abner Creek Band members Katie Beth Jones, Landen Painter,
Addison Bell, Abigail Cox, and Claire Graden who attended University of Georgia MidFest this past weekend in Athens, Georgia.
They joined 1,000 other middle school bands students from the southeast to participated in this three day honor band clinic.
Today Mrs. Bo’s ELA classes participated in a scavenger hunt in library that Mrs. Spencer arranged in support of their nonfiction unit.

This past Thursday, we welcomed Pastor Derek Henderson back to FCA. He gave a message about the reason for the season of Christmas and our worship team led us in singing Praise You Anywhere. Join us for our last FCA of 2024 this Thursday at 7:30 am.

Our Abner Creek Student Athlete Leadership Team ("S.A.L.T.") kicked off their mentorship program with Abner Creek Academy on Friday. We had athletes from Football, Volleyball, Cheer, and Basketball who were nominated based on leadership and character traits by coaches to impact the next generation of Wolves. What a great opportunity for everyone involved!

Friday, our AVID elective students and orchestra students held a Storybook Christmas event at ACMS! Abner Creek Academy kindergarten students had a great time listening to stories and singing along with the orchestra! A big thank you to all who made this day possible: Laura Spencer, Scotti Henson, Haleigh Gresham, Travis Watson, Zoe Harbison and Elizabeth Koon! Thank you to our school resource officers Officer Moreno and Officer Ruiz as well as Officer Sefcik and her dog Margo from Mauldin PD. Also thank you Florence Chapel for letting us borrow your elf costumes! So many memories were made! 🎄🎁🎅🏼📚
