Today was our 8th grade AP, Mr. Harper's birthday! It was a big one, but we won't tell you exactly how old he really is! You might have seen many people around the building, dressed in all black today to celebrate though if that gives you a hint. 😉 Thank you for all you do for our school each and every day. We are so thankful for your leadership!

We are on a roll with our fall fundraiser! Please remember that you have until 6 PM Sunday to support your house! 20 emails sent by 6 PM on Sunday earns you an entry into a drawing for a mini fridge!

💻 Happy National IT Professionals Day! 💻 Today, we’re celebrating the two incredible people who work behind the scenes to keep Abner Creek Middle School connected and running smoothly! From helping teachers with technology in the classroom to making sure our students have the tools they need to learn, our IT professionals are always there when we need them. They troubleshoot, problem-solve, fix, support, and somehow make the technology work when we’re convinced it never will! 😄 We are so thankful for all you do for our teachers and students each and every day. Your work may happen behind the scenes, but your impact is seen throughout our entire school! Thank you for keeping our Wolfpack connected! 🐺💻 Happy National IT Professionals Day Mr. Cureton and Mrs. Harrison!

Our fundraiser is off to a great start! Please make sure to check your emails and the yellow form sent home with students! Houses with the most emails sent will receive house points! Thank you for supporting our school!

Several 8th grade students interested in the aggregate industry got to tour our very own Lyman rock quarry here in District 5! Part of the career exploration program at Abner Creek Middle, these students were exposed to career fields in welding, diesel machinery, agriculture, and engineering; many jobs of which of which can be obtained right out of high school with RD Anderson certifications. The Lyman rock quarry offers apprenticeship programs to high school graduates as well! We are so proud of the opportunities for career development right here in our community! Thanks for having us Vulcan Rock Quarry in Lyman!

Next Thursday! Wear your hat and bring a dollar to donate to an amazing cause!
