Last week was School Principal Appreciation Day, but we celebrated this week! Mr. Dean does so much for our school and sadly can't be in all places at once, so now we have Mr. Dean 2.0 as well! Students in Mrs. Duncan's classes enjoyed practicing vocabulary by writing and performing skits for each other today!!
The 8th grade English classes have been reviewing figurative language and poetic devices through novels in verse! 📚 Students each picked a novel written in poetry to read in class. To help students make connections between their various novels, students participated in book club hexagonal thinking! 🔗 By creating hexagonal puzzles, students were able to make connections between their book and other books in verse. 💪
