🔎👀 Putting Those Observation Skills to the Test! 👀🔎
Mrs. Landon’s classes kicked things off by becoming classroom detectives! 🕵️♀️🕵️♂️ Students plundered through the room (with their eyes, of course 😂), searching for clues about Mrs. Landon and using their observation skills to make inferences about who she is, what she loves, and what might be important to her.
From classroom décor to little details tucked around the room, they quickly learned that scientists can gather A LOT of information just by paying attention! 🔬🧠

It was a great first day at Abner Creek Middle!!
Students in Mrs. Ramsey’s class worked together today to build the tallest straw tower. They were unable to talk and had to use their dominant hand for the first 6 minutes. It taught them teamwork, nonverbal communication, and strengthened critical thinking!

🍎📚 Learning Never Stops at Abner Creek Middle School! 📚🍎
Today, our teachers had the opportunity to learn from one another during professional development sessions led by fellow ACMS educators. Sharing ideas, strategies, and classroom successes helps us grow stronger together and ensures we’re providing the very best learning experiences for our students.
We’re proud of the knowledge, leadership, and collaboration our staff demonstrates every day. When teachers learn together, everyone benefits—especially our students!

Last week we celebrated the accomplishments, growth, and hard work of our incredible 8th grade students during their awards day! 🎉
From academics to leadership, citizenship, athletics, and the arts, we are so proud of all they have achieved during their middle school years. These students have left a lasting impact on ACMS, and we cannot wait to see all they accomplish in high school and beyond.
Congratulations to everyone!

✍️📬 Students in Mrs. Landon’s 8th grade science classes took a moment to reflect on just how far they’ve come this year. They wrote letters to their future selves, sharing memories from 8th grade and setting goals for where they hope to be by 12th grade. 🎓💭
These time capsules of advice, hopes, and dreams will be safely tucked away until the first week of their senior year, when they’ll be returned for students to read and reflect on how much they’ve grown. ❤️✨

Congratulations to Mrs. Ohler and our Choral Program on earning the Outstanding Performance Award for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is the first year middle school programs have been eligible to receive this recognition and Abner Creek was one of only three schools who received this honor!
This is the highest annual honor that a choral program in South Carolina can earn. It demonstrates a commitment to and the achievement of excellence across the board in all of the events that the South Carolina Music Educators Association Choral Division has to offer.
We are beyond proud!

Dance team info!

On Friday during half time of the basketball game, Juliana Tolbert was recognized as the recipient of the ACMS Superintendent’s Citizenship Award, and last night she was formally recognized by the Superintendent alongside other outstanding students across the district.
This award honors students who exemplify exceptional character, leadership, kindness, responsibility, respect, and citizenship within their school and community.
We are so proud to have her represent our school and can't wait to see what her future brings! She is a true leader of the pack 🐺with a huge heart, and our hallways won't be the same without her next year.
Congratulations Juliana! 🩶💙
