Cross country interest meeting! Mark your calendars!

Attention 8th graders! Two big events coming up, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

We loved having the Chaser Initiative Program visit us in 8th grade today! 🧬 They did an amazing job bringing genetics to life—helping us explore Punnett squares and better understand how traits and behaviors can be inherited or learned. Such a fun and engaging experience for everyone involved. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion with us!

6th graders were treated to a lunch and learn visit from the Deputy Chief of Operations, Richard Farr, from the Reidville Fire Department. This was our last Wolves of the Workforce event for the school year, and students asked such thoughtful questions! Chief Farr emphasized the importance of trying your best in school and what it means to be a leader. Thank you for your visit Chief Farr!

Last week our 6th grade social studies classes got together in the collaboration room to learn from our Instructional Coach, Paula Quinby! They reviewed how to deconstruct a prompt, how to find evidence, and how to chart that evidence in preparation for state testing! They then spent a few days in their classrooms working on their argumentative writing piece! This was integration and collaboration at its best! Great job everyone! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Mrs. Emerson had a Micheal Jackson theme celebration for her birthday Friday! The students played theater games that related to MJ, learned dance numbers, and sang karaoke. They had an amazing time! Mrs. Emerson wanted to thank all her students for showing her so much love today.
A special thanks to Jayla Frye, Ashleigh Reyes- Garcia, and Manuel Ramirez for helping her throughout the day!

Our 8th graders had an incredible day exploring history on their field trip to Fort Moultrie and Drayton Hall in Charleston! 🚌📚
Students were able to walk through history at Fort Moultrie and see firsthand many of the things they’ve been learning about in class. They then traveled to Drayton Hall Plantation where they toured the historic Drayton House and had the unique opportunity to speak with archaeologists. 🏛️
Our students even got to see real artifacts discovered from an active dig site on the property, bringing history and science to life right before their eyes! 🔍🗺️ What an amazing day of hands-on learning and exploration!

Ms. Loving's class, their families, and their buddies recently had the chance to go to a Swamp Rabbit Hockey Game! They are so thankful for their best buddies and just love them! It was a day to remember!

Mrs. Edge’s ELA classes have loved welcoming Ms. Taylor Smith, a Teacher Cadet from Byrnes High School! 📚✨
She has jumped right in, connecting with students and bringing great energy to our classroom. We’re so glad to have her with us and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish in the future! 🍎

Mrs. Bo’s 6th grade ELA classes collaborated to create anchor charts on biometrics, pulling out key information together.
Students then chose a side and defended it using strong claims, evidence, and reasoning. So proud of their critical thinking and teamwork! 👏📚

Attention rising ninth graders interested in football! Mark calendars! 🏈

Our amazing PTO rolled out the cheer cart yesterday, treating our staff to refreshing drinks and delicious snacks—all perfectly on theme! 🛟✨🦩🍉
We are so grateful for the thoughtful pick-me-up and the smiles it brought to everyone’s day. As we head into these final weeks, here's to hoping they "float by quickly"! Thank you, PTO, for always supporting and uplifting our school family! 💙🩶

🧬➗ Math + Science in Action!
Students in Mrs. Landon’s 8th grade science class combined their science knowledge with their math skills while learning about genotypes and phenotypes. They practiced filling in Punnett squares to determine the probability that certain traits could be passed on to offspring.
Once they found the probabilities, students used their math skills to convert the results into ratios and analyze the likelihood of different traits appearing. It’s always exciting to see math and science working together! 📊🧬✨
