K4 students were “Certified Christmas Cookie Testers” in the ACA Library Bakeshop today. They enjoyed a fun story and decorated cookies with Miss Koon. Cookie testers gave them two thumbs up! 🎄🍪

Ms. Burns’ class & Ms. Sweatt’s 5th grade classes enjoyed having Sean Lindsay (Mrs. Lindsay’s son!) as a guest speaker to discuss his basketball 🏀 career & give insight on how to be successful in college, especially as a student athlete!

What a festive day! Mrs. Grant, Mrs. Clary, Mrs. Nelson, and Mrs. Gardner’s classes joined together for a fun-filled collaboration to create the ugliest Christmas🎄sweater cookies. The students not only designed their unique cookies but also shared their families Christmas traditions. 💙💚

Just a reminder that Friday, December 20th is a half day for students. We will dismiss at 11:30. 🕦
Remember, on half days there are no half day PCD or K4 classes. ACA Afterschool is also not held on half days.
We will see our students back on Tuesday, January 7th. We wish you and your family a safe and wonderful break!

Congratulations to our December Great Gators! 🐊 We are proud of you!

Gingerbread day in Mrs. Williams’ class: Students completed a science 🧪 experiment to see what liquid would dissolve the gingerbread man quickest. It was a close call between the vinegar and water! Students also read 📖 about the history of gingerbread, wrote ✏️ their own imaginative story with a gingerbread element, and created their own gingerbread houses based on a budget 💵 of $100.

Mrs. St.Clair’s class loved experiencing the Sensory Sensitive Nutcracker by The Spartanburg Ballet! 🩰

Today was the first GatorWolf Guardians meeting at ACA. Abner Creek Middle athletic student leadership students met with some of the ACA students to build community and relationships between our two schools. 🐺 🐊

We are so excited about the creation of Gator Jam - it's a fun filled performance bucket percussion group! 🥁

Crow/Weaver's K5 class are learning all about community heroes. They invited one of our Gator 🐊 community heroes to their class to read 📖 to them, Officer Ruiz. He’s not only our community hero but he’s Caleb’s hero as well! 👮🏽♂️

Big shout out to Church At the Mill for spreading love and Christmas cheer this morning by bringing biscuits and drinks for staff! We appreciate you for starting our day off right.

Our ACA Gators did a fantastic job tonight in their Christmas Concert 🎵 with the Voices of D5 Staff Choir! 🎄
