Mrs. Blackwell and Mrs. Grube’s 1st grade classes worked on an activity in library with Miss Koon. Students learned about biographies and created trading cards on the person of their choice. Their classes got together and traded cards in order to learn facts about famous people.
Congratulations to Mrs. Becky Barnhill who is our most recent ABCD Award winner! Her nominations said: Mrs. Barnhill has put in so much time and effort into organizing a class trip to the Special Olympics this year! She also cares deeply about her students and wants to see them succeed. We are lucky to have her at ACA! 💙💚

Our most recent ABCD Award Winner is our K4 Teacher - Mrs. Mehaffey. Her nomination said: Mitzi Mehaffey has gone above and beyond each and every year since the school opened in 2008. Faithful to car 🚙 duty each afternoon to call names in all kinds of weather keeping each child safe, and she does it with a smile on her face. Mrs. "Haffey" teaches our youngest GATORS 🐊 how to be great gators in all areas academic, social, and emotional and encourages each one to be the best they can be. She is famous for meeting children where they are and moving them forward no matter what! 💙
Congrats to Nico and Gio for having the most passed lesson in iReady for Dunn/Sanders K5 class! Nico also filled in his iReady goal chart and passed 30 lessons! Way to go, Gators! 🐊
Mrs. Boyd’s kindergators welcomed Gator Alumni Bailey Waters to their classroom as a substitute teacher. Ms Waters is currently in college to become a teacher and she substitutes when she does not have class. 💙💚

Mrs. Boyd and Ms. Wade’s K5 class wrapped up black history month by learning about an artist named Alma Thomas. Children worked together to write a story about Alma Thomas and they created their own “Alma Thomas” pieces of art. 🖼️
