🌱✨ Exciting growth at Wellford Academy! ✨🌱 We've partnered with Lettuce Grow x Ozobot to bring STEM learning to life with a hydroponic Farmstand and innovative Ozobot curriculum! Students are growing green beans, lettuce varieties, spearmint, cilantro, and flowers indoors while learning about plant growth, nutrition, and sustainability. With 24 planting ports and Glow Ring® lighting, the Farmstand provides a hands-on way for young learners to observe the entire growing process—from seeds to harvest. We're thrilled to cultivate curiosity and inspire environmentally conscious, healthy habits in our students. 🌿💡
☕ Building Skills, One Cup at a Time!
This year, our modified special education class at Wellford Academy is focusing on life skills like introducing themselves, taking orders, and responding appropriately. These important lessons are being put into practice through our beloved coffee cart program, which was a huge success last year!
Through the coffee cart, our students interact with teachers they might not have met before, growing their confidence, communication, and social skills. Their hard work and dedication have made such an impact, and we’re thrilled to see their progress again this year.
Plus, with their earnings, the students will get to enjoy an exciting field trip at the end of the year—a well-deserved celebration of their achievements! 🥳

Our Girls on the Run club has been putting in the work, practicing twice a week for the past 8 weeks, and now they’re ready to shine at their 5K in Greenville this Saturday! 💪🌟 We’re so proud of their dedication, teamwork, and grit as they’ve trained for this big day.

🐾 Celebrating Winn-Dixie Style in Mrs. Crocker’s Class! 🐾
Mrs. Crocker’s students wrapped up their study of Because of Winn-Dixie with a special celebration inspired by the book and movie! They enjoyed their own “dog party” complete with egg salad, root beer candies (Litmus Lozenges), cake, and dump punch—just like in the story. Students watched the movie and shared in the joy of their own version of Winn-Dixie. What a memorable way to bring literature to life! 📚✨
