Attention Families! Mark your calendar! There is no school on Monday, January 20, 2025 for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

Mrs. Bailey's class had "snow" much fun working on long division with marshmallows yesterday. They all agree Snowman Math ❄️ is yummy!

Due to a winter storm watch issued by the National Weather Service, all District Five Schools and offices will be closed on Friday, January 10. ❄️ Friday, January 10 will be an e-Learning day for all District Five students. 💻 This decision was made in the best interest of safety for all D5 students and staff, as snow, sleet and ice is predicted by late Friday morning, and roads will likely be unsafe for buses, families or student drivers to travel 🚌❄️🚗
Teachers will be in touch with students regarding all e-Learning assignments 📚📝. All after school and weekend activities are also canceled.📆
We appreciate your patience and understanding, as safety is always our top priority in District Five! #WeAreD5

Today is Report Card Day! Please be sure to check your student's bag or folder for their report card and celebrate their successes this school year.

Tomorrow is Class Picture Day! Information for ordering pictures will be sent home by this afternoon.

Just a reminder! Class Picture Day is Thursday, January 9.

Remember tomorrow is the first school day of 2025! Looking forward to seeing everyone back at River Ridge. 🐼

What a way to end our Merry and Bright Days! Tomorrow, December 20, is Jolly Jumpsuit Day. Wear your favorite festive or winter attire! We hope you have had a holly jolly time celebrating with us for the last three weeks. A big thank you to our School Hospitality Committee for planning all of our Merry and Bright activities.

Around here Santa wears a badge! 🎅🏻 The annual tradition continued today, with our very own Officer McAbee handing out his holiday treat bags. Each year, Office McAbee makes a treat bag for EVERY. SINGLE. STUDENT. The joy he brings into every classroom with this gift of kindness is evident. We are so thankful to have someone who loves our students so much protecting our campus, students, faculty, and staff everyday. ❤️

Congratulation to our River Ridge Spelling Bee Champion, Patrick Haith! Patrick will now represent our school in the District Spelling Bee. Also congratulations to runner-up, Hudson Millott. We are so proud of all our Spelling Bee contestants. They did a wonderful job today!
