Week 1 of our SC Ready Testing begins for our 3rd-5th graders tomorrow. This week at night, focus on lowering stress and ensuring preparation by packing the backpack, and getting a full night's sleep. Each morning, eat breakfast and plan for a calm morning to set a positive tone for the test day.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to the faculty and staff of River Ridge Elementary! This incredible group fosters a safe, engaging learning environment while meeting the diverse needs of all of our students. Our students don't just grow here--they blossom thanks to the hard work and dedication of these teachers.
Rounding out Mrs. Cobb's First Chapter Friday readers is Mrs. Loggins. Mrs. Cobb's ELA classes have thoroughly enjoyed hearing favorite books from some of our favorite teachers this year. They have discovered so many new stories to read! We appreciate all of our readers and have thoroughly enjoyed having these guests in our classroom!
Greyson taught his classmates in Mrs. Huss' room about how magnets produce electricity. He explained the scientific method and did a complete presentation including lights that worked. So impressive!
Happy Principals' Day, Dr. Bigby! We appreciate you so much for your time, generous heart, and hard work. Every day, you support our faculty and staff and prioritize student well-being so that we can all do our best.
For the ABC Countdown in Mrs. Cleveland's class, today is J is for Jewelry Day. These superstars made bracelets!
Our Library Pool is closed right now, but stop back by later to see our EPIC pool party with some of our youngest friends! 😃
Don't forget! Friday, May 1st, will be the last day to join your student in Cafeteria. Thanks for your cooperation as we accommodate changes in our schedule due to SC Ready testing starting next week.
Today was Letter I for Mrs. Cleveland's students and their ABC Countdown to Summer. They enjoyed reading stories about ice cream, graphing ice cream items, and building their own Ice cream Sundaes. ❤️

Author, Alyssa Wilkinson, visited with our 3rd-5th graders this morning. She shared her journey to become a published author and encouraged students to not give up when something is hard. She also read aloud the first chapter of her book, Unlucky Charm Summer. Students really enjoyed her visit! Her book will be available in stores and online at https://chickenscratchbooks.com/ starting May 5.
Happy Administrative Professionals Day to our Front Office Heroes! We are so thankful for Mrs. Aura, Mrs. Ruedinger, and Ms. Paradis.
