Our fourth grade writers celebrated their hard work with a special Publishing Party! Their classrooms transformed into cozy cafés where students shared their writing, read one another’s stories, and celebrated all they have accomplished as authors. ✏️✨

September is Attendance Awareness Month!
This month, we are focusing on the importance of being present and on time every day. Students who have no unexcused absences at the end of September will receive a special incentive!
Help us keep attendance records accurate:
Turn in all medical or parent notes for absences.
Check PowerSchool regularly to review your attendance record.
Make sure any attendance concerns are addressed before the end of the month!

Mrs. Harvey’s class was working on great fine motor skills while learning about the different colors leaves turn in the fall! 🍂
Mrs. Millan’s science classes are learning about the building blocks of matter. 🧬 They explored the world of elements by using the periodic table and marshmallows to create common compounds like water, carbon monoxide, hydrogen peroxide etc.. It was a blast learning the compounds that are connected to matter in real life! 🚀
Mrs. Buxtons fourth grade students have been learning about how bird beaks have evolved to be able to eat different kinds of food in this beak lab. 🦢
🔎🕵️♀️ Mystery mode: ON! Our 4th graders went on a mission to collect clues, investigate the evidence, and uncover the mystery of the Lost Colony of Roanoke! 🗺️✨ Who knew history could be this much fun?! 📜🔍
This week, Mrs. Graden's kindergartners worked on creating a setting. 📕 They were inspired after reading Alpert to create a setting just like the author did in the story. ✨
Then some friends shared about the setting they made. 🚀
College Day at Reidville is always done big! Between Kona Ice In Greer, a staff cookout, and all the colleges represented, it was an upstanding Friday! 🚀 A big thanks to our PTO for assisting our kids at the snow cone truck! 🍧

Mrs. Watchorn's Kindergartners finished up color week with a fun rainbow snack! 🚀
The Hoenshel Honeybees 🐝 are collaborating to create a poster to retell the story You Will Be My Friend by Peter Brown. 📕 They illustrated to represent the beginning, middle, and end of the story and then wrote to summarize each part. 🚀
Mrs. Millan’s math classes have explored and built rectangular prisms with a given dimension and volume. 🚀 They have enjoyed learning volume through hands on manipulation of rectangular prisms!
