Our first graders had a S P E C T A C U L A R time at Stewart's Farm last week! They picked pumpkins, learning about growth cycles of plants and enjoyed farm life for a day. 🎃

We are no longer accepting late orders that were not given to the photographer on picture day. Families will need to place their order online. Lifetouch recently made this switch to make a more efficient ordering experience for schools when handling late orders that can be delayed. These delayed orders cause confusion with families when their order is not included in the initial shipment to the school causing the school to have to look into a missing package. Online ordering is an easier and more efficient process than using the paper flyer and it removes the burden of collecting money from the school.
5th graders in Mrs. Harding's STEM class designed and launched straw rockets to investigate how Earth’s gravitational force pulls objects downward. 🚀
🚀 Mrs. Hoenshel's class had their first publishing party last week to celebrate as published authors of two books! 📚 They invited their 5th grade book buddies to come read their books. In August, they interviewed a friend and wrote a book about them. In September, they learned about the Reidville community and wrote a book about the neighborhood, jobs in Reidville, and the places to visit in Reidville. 🏫
Our BOOK FAIR is open and taking orders or students can visit the book fair at school October 19 through the 23rd. The schedule is posted in a news article on our website so please be sure to check it out before coming to the book fair as some days we are on a different schedule with different hours.

It was an inspiring week in first grade learning literacy through fun seasonal activities! 🍎 🍏
🚀 Our young learners discovered how local helpers collaborate for the greater good and get apples from farm to table! 🍎 They also learned about adjectives and used those words to write a descriptive writing about apples! They made homemade applesauce and wrote a how to writing to share with their families! 📚 They also read a book about the life cycle of an apple then made a hat! 🧢
