Mrs. Watchorn's Kindergartners finished up color week with a fun rainbow snack! 🚀

The Hoenshel Honeybees 🐝 are collaborating to create a poster to retell the story You Will Be My Friend by Peter Brown. 📕 They illustrated to represent the beginning, middle, and end of the story and then wrote to summarize each part. 🚀

Mrs. Millan’s math classes have explored and built rectangular prisms with a given dimension and volume. 🚀 They have enjoyed learning volume through hands on manipulation of rectangular prisms!

We are gearing up for College Colors Day here in D5 next Friday, September 4th. Send your students to school in college colors or Reidville Spirit Wear! 🐟 Fabian’s Fishies 5K class enjoyed their first “Fun Friday” last week to finish their lessons on the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! 🏝️ It included a special character reader, a fun snack, and shopping with their earned pennies at the classroom store in math! 📕

It was a great week for our kindergartners as they explored all the colors of the rainbow! Special snacks, exciting books and lots of color! 🚀

🐝 Hoenshel’s honeybees have had a busy first few weeks of first grade! They spent the week building our classroom community, creating our first blank books and journal entries, selecting books to fill our book bins, and learning to work and play cooperatively thru math games! 📚

✏️📓 Mrs. Kurtycz’s 4th graders are starting the year off strong! They kicked things off by personalizing their writing journals and making them uniquely their own. 💕 They can’t wait to fill these pages with creative ideas, thoughtful reflections, and lots of amazing writing all year long! 🌟

Mrs. Mooneyhan’s Megaminds are learning how to be authors this week in 1st grade! They learned that writing can be in many forms; letters, lists, cards, books, stories and so much more! 📝 ✏️ We can’t wait to hear the beautiful writing they create this year! ❤️ 🚀

Mrs. Millan’s and Ms. Wall’s 5th grade classes kicked off the year by completing the successful student AVID activity together. 🎉 Students were asked to illustrate what a successful student might look like. 📚 After creating the visual they were asked to discuss and write traits, thoughts, and actions of a successful student to add to their illustration. The classes focused on how they can be successful 5th grade students together as a class family and as an independent student. They are ready to have a successful year! 🚀

If you have yet to receive your child's postcard, please be sure that you completed your Infosnap registration online as well as uploaded a new proof of residence (water or power bill). We will not mail postcards until all documents have been verified and Infosnap has been submitted.
