Here's a look at our week ahead! 🐾
Ms. Johnson’s 6th graders traveled back in time to Ancient Mesopotamia! Students became Sumerian scribes for the day; translating Sumerian words into English, writing about their favorite things in Sumerian, and even crafting clay tablets. With a reed in hand, they pressed their very own names in cuneiform just like the world’s first writers. ✍️ History came alive, one clay tablet at a time!
Mrs. Nodine's classes have been diving into their Cuneiform projects! 🏺📜
Mrs. Gregory's classes are engineering penguin houses to explore thermal heat transfer! 🧊🐧The challenge? Build a shelter that keeps their "penguin" ice cube from melting in the heat. Science, creativity, and cool experiments in action! 🔥🏠❄️
Last but not least, we would like to recognize another "Athlete of the Week" from our 8th-grade football team, Zayden Taylor-Bomar! 🔥
ZTB has grown a ton and has become one of the anchor points on the 8th-grade offensive line! 🏈 He works hard and is really beginning to gain a grasp and knowledge of the game. Zayden also plays defensive line for the team, and is doing a good job up front trying to take control of the line of scrimmage. Keep up the great work!

Congratulations to Jacoby Hicks for being named "Athlete of the Week" for the 8th-grade football team! 🔥As a top-tier competitor, Coby wants to be the best and is the type of player you want on your team. 🏈 Coby had some great tackles and offensive plays in week two vs. Florence Chapel. He is a great leader and contributor week in and week out to our gameplan and preparation. Way to go, Jacoby!
