Ms. Lisa Dunagin will join Mr. Powell and Mr. Qatawi on our administration team for the 23-24 school year as our new Assistant Principal! Ms. Dunagin has spent a large part of her career in early childhood education. She has taught four and five-year-old Kindergarten, third grade, and fourth grade and was also a math interventionist. She was also named the District Three Teacher of the Year in 2021. For the past 2 years, Ms. Dunagin has served as the intermediate school’s math coach at Beech Springs and Berry Shoals. In addition, this year, she is also serving as the math coach for all of our District Five elementary schools. In this role, Ms. Dunagin has a coaching relationship with all K-3rd grade teachers and all 4th-6th grade Math teachers in D5. Ms. Dunagin also serves as an adjunct professor at Converse University, teaching STEM and STEAM instruction to pre-service teachers. We are extremely excited to welcome her into this new position at Berry Shoals Intermediate School and we are looking forward to all the amazing things she will bring to our family!!!!
