Mrs. Edge’s 7th Grade Advanced ELA students enjoyed a visit with our technology coach,Stefanie Harrison, to learn about positive and responsible uses of AI. 💻🤖 Using MagicSchool, students were able to spark creative topic ideas for their upcoming personal narrative! 💡📓

6th grade students in PLTW Computer Science Innovators and Makers showed of their coding and creative skills by designing a sign that had a scrolling message, an icon, and an animation.

Yesterday, choir students had the opportunity to attend the second annual district ACDA all-state audition clinic at Byrnes Freshman Academy. Students from all four middle schools had the opportunity to work with directors on perfecting their audition piece before they record their final audition over the next two weeks.





More fun with robotics! Mr. Dean got in on the fun and really appreciated his "thank you" note too!

Mrs. Fisher’s ELA classes are studying perspective and point of view. Today, they looked at the story of The Three Little Pigs from both the pigs’ perspective and the wolf’s. They held a mock trial, putting the wolf on the stand!
Book: “The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs” by Jon Scieszka.







Mrs. Linkous' Social Studies classes tried out a new tool called Snorkl today! It is an AI based program that offers instant student feedback and support! Students set a goal of reaching a writing score in the "green" and could even get help from a friend. (It gives great feedback to teachers too!) The possibilities are endless with this tool, and they can't wait to use it again!

Student Council election week is in full swing. Students have gone out of their way with creative posters, slogans and some even passed out candy to encourage students to vote for them. Voting takes place tomorrow.










First FCA meeting of the year—our largest crowd yet.



Students in Mrs. Duncan's class got to collaborate today in a fun way! After writing their answers, they compared with classmates. If they liked the someone’s answer better than their own, they could steal the answer. It was an active way to identify the theme of a story.




Operation "save the kitten" was a success! This kitten hit the jackpot . Now, what should we name him?
