🚀✨ Big brains at work in Mrs. Landon’s 8th Grade Science! 🌎🔭
Our students have been exploring Earth’s place in the universe 🌌 and this week they took it to the next level! Using their math skills ➗📏, they converted the distance of each celestial body from the Sun ☀️ from astronomical units (AU) to centimeters — all using their own custom scale models! 🤯📐
Volleyball open season for March starts next week. We will run Monday/Wednesday from 4:00-5:30 starting March 4th - March 25th.
This is for current 7th - 11th graders. They must have a current physical and PlanetHS complete in order to participate.

Mrs. Linkous' classes played "Luck of the Draw" today to review for a test. They had to work together to match like concepts. Once they found the right answers they received a tickets with a positive or negative number on it. Then they had to go to the board and record their points to keep track of who was in the lead. A lot of teamwork and a lot of review, but it was the luck of the draw that determined the winners!

FCA was honored to welcome Caleb Massey, a senior at Byrnes High School, as our guest speaker. He shared his powerful testimony and inspired students to stand firm in their faith. We are still welcoming more students to come and join us in FCA every Thursday at 7:30 am.

Students in PLTW Medical Detectives have been researching the circulatory system. Then they had to take what they learned and create an artificial heart that would pump “blood” throughout the body.

Student Council will be sponsoring a school wide dance on Feb. 26th from 3:30-5:00 pm. The theme is "A Night in New York." The price will be $20.00 which includes: pizza, chips, drinks, and dessert. Fun activities include a dance off and picture taking booth. Tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria from 7:45 - 8:10 starting Monday Feb.16th through Friday Feb. 20th. Cash or cards are accepted.
