Please join us on May 2nd for our Art Show, which is part of our STEM Family Night extravaganza! One big night with two great events. Everything begins at 5:30pm and runs until 7:00. Congratulations to Yana Tzvyd whose artwork was named Honorable Mention at the Spartanburg County Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg! Yana's artwork was chosen as the first runner up in the K-5 category of artwork representing schools all across Spartanburg County. She is a 4th grader in Mrs. Goode's art class. Way to go Yana! We are SO proud of you!
The South Carolina College-and Career-Ready Assessments (SC READY) are statewide assessments in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics for 3rd and 4th graders in our school. Dates for testing are May 7-9 and May 14-15. Families, please help your student have a successful testing experience by: *Encouraging a good night’s sleep *Eating a nutritious breakfast *Avoid scheduling appointments on test day.

Congratulations to our Terrific Kid of the Year, Alex Mialik! Alex is a fourth grader who loves math and recess. He enjoys playing soccer and is looking forward to playing flag football. He is a thoughtful, responsible, and bright student. He shows kindness to all and seeks out opportunities to help. Alex shows what it takes to be a terrific kid every day. We are so proud of you, Alex!

Mark your calendar for TWO big events on ONE special night! Our STEM Family Night and Art Show will be held together on Thursday, May 2 from 5:30 PM- 7:30 PM. There will be door prizes, STEM activities and games, student artwork for sale, and food trucks on site!

Congratulations to our very own Lorie Goode, who was named District Five Teacher of the Year for 2024-25! The exciting news was revealed in a surprise announcement by Dr. Gary this morning. Mrs. Goode first began her career in the classroom in 1993, and has been teaching art at River Ridge since 2007. We are so proud of her!
