A big thank you to Hannah Faith Mitchell, Miss Byrnes High 2024, for the donation of a book to our school library. The gift is part of her platform “Readers Are Leaders” as Miss Byrnes . We appreciate the book for students to check out and read for themselves!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES! Next week is the last week of school. Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23 are half days for students. May 23 is also the LAST day of school for students.

Congratulations to Faith Burnett, our Superintendent’s Citizenship Award winner for 2024! Faith, a fourth grader, is well liked by all her classmates. She works hard for her teachers and is always ready to help. She loves drawing and her favorite subject is math. Her bright smile and sunny attitude make her a favorite all around the building.

SC Ready testing continues this week for our 3rd and 4th graders. Please help your student have a successful testing experience tomorrow and Wednesday by encouraging a good night’s sleep, making sure they eat a nutritious breakfast, and please avoid scheduling appointments on test days. Congratulations to Yana Tzvyd whose artwork was named Honorable Mention at the Spartanburg County Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg! Yana's artwork was chosen as the first runner up in the K-5 category of artwork representing schools all across Spartanburg County. She is a 4th grader in Mrs. Goode's art class. Way to go Yana! We are SO proud of you!
