Wellford Academy’s fifth graders had a hands-on opportunity to make a lasting impact on their school and community this week. Through a partnership with Trees Upstate and The Noble Tree Foundation, students helped plant six new trees around campus.

In addition to the trees planted by students, volunteers from Trees Upstate and The Noble Tree Foundation installed 41 more trees, bringing the total number of new trees on campus to 47. This generous donation also included all materials, planting supplies, and installation—an incredible gift valued at approximately $250 per tree, provided to Wellford Academy at no cost.

This experience allowed students to learn about environmental stewardship, teamwork, and the importance of sustainability, all while contributing to the beautification of their school grounds.

“Wellford Academy is so grateful for this partnership,” said school staff. “Our students were able to learn, collaborate, and take part in something that will benefit our school and environment for years to come.”

Through this project, Wellford Academy continues to live out the spirit of the Wolfpack—working together to create a stronger, greener future for all. 🌳🐺
