Beginning September 8, we will travel to Berry Shoals once a month to mentor 5th grade students.

Ms. White, our 6th grade guidance counselor, and Ms. Parris, our career specialist, have been visiting 6th grade classes to introduce themselves and share all the ways our Guidance Department is here to support students. Students learned about the resources available to them and even got an introduction to exploring future career paths!

This prestigious award recognizes the accomplishments of our orchestra students at SCMEA events throughout the year. Only 21 middle school orchestra programs in South Carolina qualified for an OPA this year, making this achievement even more special!
This marks Florence Chapel’s 4th consecutive Outstanding Performance Award! We are incredibly proud of Mr. Gencarelli, our talented students, and the continued excellence of our orchestra program. 🎶

We are excited to grow our Adopt-A-Cougar mentoring program at Florence Chapel Middle School! This program connects students with caring teachers, families, and community members who want to invest in a student and help them succeed.
💙 What does being a mentor involve?
• Meeting with your student once a month
• Offering encouragement and support throughout the week
• Supporting your student in school and at extracurricular activities
• Bringing a small, packaged snack or breakfast/lunch item during monthly meetings
• Being a consistent, positive presence in your student’s life
The most important part is commitment. Our students look forward to these connections each week, and having a dependable mentor can make a powerful and lasting impact.
