Don't forget to dress up the last day of Spirit Week and show that school spirit! Friday is Rebel Spirit Day (dress in your Rebel gear or colors: red🔴, grey⚪, and blue🔵).
Today was a freaky day at BFA! 👨🏫Teacher vs. Student🙋♂️ Day had everybody doing a double take! Students decided to take the chance to dress as their favorite teachers and they've never looked more professional! Teachers decided to dress like their students and they've never looked more comfortable! Don't forget to dress up the rest of the week and show that school spirit! Thursday is Hall of Fame Day dress as your favorite team, athlete, celeb, influencer, etc).
🎄🎃💘🦃Holiday! Celebrate!🌎🐰🎆🍀 It looked like the calendar exploded today at BFA! The whole school was decked out in all sorts of holiday outfits! From Christmas and Halloween to Earth Day and Lunar New Year to Birthdays and Flag Day, students got creative and had a blast on Holiday Day!
Don't forget to dress up the rest of the week and show that school spirit! Wednesday is the highly anticipated Students vs Teachers Day (students dress like teachers and teachers dress like students).
🏊♂️Come out and support our Rebels Swim Team this Thursday night and get some delicious pizza in the process! 🍕
Everyone at BFA was in their 🎶Music Monday Era🎶 today as students and staff represented their favorite artists🎙️, bands🎸 and genres🎼 for Homecoming Spirit Week! We had everything from 80s Boy Bands, to Country Music, to K-Pop! For all the pictures from today check out our Instagram or Facebook!

During lunch this Spirit Week, students can purchase 🍦 ice cream 🍦 for $1. They will use their dollar to vote for the teacher they'd like to see get 🥧 pied 🥧 on Friday during lunch!

Homecoming Week is full of fun for students and teachers, but it is also a chance to give back. We will be hosting our annual 🥫 Food Drive 🥫 to support the Middle Tyger Community Center. The 3rd period class who donates the most canned or boxed goods will win a Ice Cream Party! Get in the spirit and help out our neighbors!
Next week Sept 18-22 is 🏈Homecoming Week🏈 we have plenty of festivities planned for the week including everyone's favorite part (besides the game of course), the dress up days! Here are this years theme days. Get those outfits ready!

Students and teachers repped their favorite colleges today for College Colors Day! There were definitely some tense rivalries between the Clemson and Carolina fans today in the hallways! 🐯⚡🐔

🍨Learning never tasted so good!🍨 Students in Mrs. Brown and Ms. Shearsmith's AVID Elective class worked on the Focused Note-Taking Process. They practiced the strategy by taking notes on How to Make an Ice Cream Sundae. Then they applied their learning by making their own sundaes! Way to put WICOR in action!
Rebel Football is back at Nixon Field! This week will be our first varsity football home game against Greenville. Kick off is at 7:30 on Friday.

If you are wanting to purchase with cash, your window to do so is every Monday from 12:30-2:00 in the front lobby at Byrnes. This will be for all sporting events during the week.

Congrats Tre Segarra on being nominated for Spartanburg Herald Journal Athlete of the week!!
RB Tre Segarra, Byrnes: The freshman had 18 rushes for 84 yards, one catch for 62 yards and two touchdowns in his varsity debut.

Did you hear? The Byrnes Rebels have added Boys Volleyball to the athletics line up! And get this, last night the Boys Rebel Volleyball team hosted Eastside in the very first boys volleyball competition, where both JV and Varsity defeated Eastside! Way to go Rebels! 🏐
The first week of school is winding down, and here at BFA, we welcomed over 800 new Rebels from the class of 2027, to high school! Teachers and students hit the ground running and had a great first week. Students were engaging in labs in science, getting to know each other during group work, learning best practices in AVID, reading in the library, shooting hoops in the gym, and so much more! With such an exciting and full first week, we are excited to see what the rest of the school year will bring! 😁
