8th graders: Our first ACM 8th grade field trip is HERE! We will be heading to Charleston, SC on April 24th for a day of history fun. We will tour a plantation to explore what plantation life was like in early South Carolina. We will also tour Fort Moultrie, which played an integral role in South Carolina's defense. Today FCA had Pastor Alex from Rocky Creek Church visit! Don't forget: "see you at the pole" is next Wednesday. Because of this, they will not have FCA on Thursday. They hope to see you there!

We continue our Arts in Education week with Mrs. Emerson, our theater teacher! Thank you for your incredible dedication and passion! You help students shine on stage and learn life skills that go far beyond the spotlight, and we appreciate you!

Miss Wagaman's science classes explored how heat transfers in a real life situation -- making s'mores. Students identified conduction (when heat transferred from the marshmallow to the skewer), convection (the liquid circulating in the sterno can), and radiation (the heat from the fire roasting the marshmallows). Everybody agreed that the best part of the lab was when they were able to eat their s'mores at the end!

Can you say 5 and 0? Our girls had a clean sweep today, 3-0! Great job ladies and coaches!! We are so proud of you! Go Wolves! 🐺

🚗💨 Mrs. Landon’s 8th grade scientists put Newton’s 2nd Law to the test today! ⚖️➡️🏎️ They investigated how mass affects acceleration by racing cars with three different weights and calculating the distances traveled. 📏📊 Now, they’ll take their data and apply it to engineering their very own pasta cars 🍝🚘 for the BIG Soapbox Derby later this week! 🏁🔥
