For their social emotional learning, Mrs. Cleveland's students have been learning about sharing and taking turns. Last week they practiced this skill by taking turns playing tic tac toe.

Looking ahead! Wednesday, September 23 will be an Early Release Day for students at 11:30am.

We hope to see everyone for our Open House Night for PCD, K5, 2nd and Fourth Grades tonight at 5:00.

Mrs. Wells’ students remembered those who helped on 9/11.

Mrs. Powers and Mr. Jackson’s classes spent some time learning about 9/11 and the many heroes of Patriots' Day. They reflected on how everyone can be heroes to those around us. Later in the day, they enjoyed a patriotic treat.

Next week, September 14-18, we celebrate Arts in Education Week! Here's a rundown of all the creative fun next week.
🎨 MONDAY — MASTERPIECE MONDAY
Every Panda Is an Artist!
Students create a small piece of artwork during the day. Display student creations outside classrooms for a schoolwide Panda Art Walk.
🎵 TUESDAY — MUSIC MAKES US HAPPY
Feel the Beat!
Across the school we will play different styles of music during arrival, lunch, or transitions. Teachers can take a quick classroom song break and let students sing, clap a rhythm, or dance.
🌟 WEDNESDAY — DRESS LIKE AN ARTIST
Show Your Creative Side!
Students and staff can dress like an artist, musician, dancer, actor, or performer—or simply wear something colorful and creative.
🖍️ THURSDAY — CHALK THE RIDGE
Color Our School with Kindness!
Students create pictures and positive messages in chalk on our sidewalks. Rainy day option: create paper squares for one giant hallway mural.
🎭 FRIDAY — AVID DAY
A look into the future at career opportunities.

It is Fine Motor Friday in Mrs. Cox's K4 class! 🤚 Students worked on fine motor skills along with a glittery lesson on proper hand washing. They made Pom Pom ice cream cones, cut play dough, and made crazy hair with pipe cleaners and a colander. 🥰

Mrs. Jalbert’s Jammin’ Jellyfish dove into the world of watershed ecology and habitats! 🌎💧🦋 Our second graders had so much fun learning how living things depend on their habitats and how water connects everything in an ecosystem. We loved seeing their curiosity, thoughtful questions, and excitement as they explored today’s lesson!
Learning about the world around us is always more fun when we can get hands-on! 💙🪼

Mrs. Cleveland’s class enjoyed a Bubbles & Chalk brain break with a whole lot of sun to brighten up their day! ☀️
