As you receive notification of having earned scholarships, retain all of the official documents. A printed copy of each award letter will soon be required for the inclusion in the Senior Academic Awards Program.
The ACCESS for ELLs will be administered Feb 5 - March 23, 2018. The goal of the federally mandated ACCESS for ELLs is to allow students to demonstrate their level of language proficiency in each of the four language domains: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
In a letter that was sent home before Christmas, third year students and their parents were given the option of selecting either the SAT or ACT school day college readiness test. They could also opt out of taking either test if their parents felt this was in their best interest. Students who did not return the choice letter will take the ACT.
Students, parents, and teachers: We have a Teacher of the Week incentive program at Byrnes. Nominate a teacher or co-worker for the honor by filling out this short form and help them be rewarded for doing a great job!

Student Council collects reward points for My Coke Rewards. This program provides financial donations for schools who collect points from the participating brands. The Council is asking anyone who drinks Coke or other participating brand products to bring in the caps or codes located on the packaging. This is not a fundraiser for the Student Council but rather a project to benefit all of Byrnes High School. Visitors may drop off the rewards in the front lobby and students may give them to their teacher.
*The Rebel Success Center will start offering help for Math and Science on both Mondays and Wednesday at 3:45 in the Media Center. English and Social Studies will still be offered on Mondays. Check with your teacher when RSC begins.
