  • There will be an informational meeting for all athletes who are interested in being a part of this year’s boys’ and girls’ track and field teams on Wednesday, December 11th. This meeting will take place in the team room in the athletic field house during Power Hour B.

    A modified bell schedule with 2-hour testing periods will be followed on these days.

  • Van Adamson-Thompson Congratulations to Van Adamson-Thompson for being named a Top Ten semifinalist for the 2020 United States Senate Youth Program. He was selected after two competitive rounds that included a knowledge test, essay, and presentation. Van visited Columbia today for the final round of interviews and met State Superintendent Molly Spearman. Two finalists will be selected in December and receive a $10,000 scholarship and visit Washington D.C. in March.

  • Real Rebels Read All students are invited to participate in the Real Rebels Read competition sponsored by the library for a chance to earn a Kindle Fire or a Barnes & Noble gift card! Submit an online form for each book you read this year. See Mrs. Gregory or Mrs. Hill for details.

    The RDA bus departure times changed (effective Monday 09/23)
    AM bus will depart BHS bus loop at 8:05 AM for RD Anderson morning classes.
    AM bus will depart RDA at 11:10 AM for B H S. Students will return no later than 11:35 for PowerHour.
    PM bus will depart BHS bus loop at 11:50 AM for RD Anderson afternoon classes.
    PM bus will depart RDA at 3:00 PM for BHS. Students will return around 3:25 for dismissal.

     Student Council collects reward points for My Coke Rewards. This program provides financial donations for schools who collect points from the participating brands. The Council is asking anyone who drinks Coke or other participating brand products to bring in the caps or codes located on the packaging. This is not a fundraiser for the Student Council but rather a project to benefit all of Byrnes High School. Visitors may drop off the rewards in the front lobby and students may give them to their teacher.
