Sports Report

It has been a busy week in Cougar athletics, as the basketball season kicked off this week, our wrestling team was in action on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Also, I need to mention that spring sports begin on Monday (12/3) at the high school.

One team that often does not get the recognition that they deserve is our cheerleading squad. Ms. Loftis has stepped in and has done a tremendous job with these student-athletes, making sure that they are prepared each and every day to cheer on the Cougars. Thank you Ms. Loftis! After setting a wonderful atmosphere at home on Tuesday for the seventh grade basketball team, the girls brought it even more on Thursday night! The atmosphere in Schofield Gymnasium was lit and it was set by how great these girls were. They brought the fire from 4:30 to 8 last night! That is a long, hard day at the office for these girls, but they were the difference in prevailing our teams to four wins week. If you see any of these girls today, be sure to congratulate them on a wonderful job and tell them just how thankful we are to have their passion and energy cheering on our Florence Chapel Cougars!

In wrestling news, on Monday,  our wrestlers defeated Rainbow Lake 79-0 and Brawly 49-27. Winning for the Cougars were:

Jackson Gore

On Tuesday, our team did it again, defeating Broome 51 - 27 and Laurens 78-6,  to improve their record to 4-0. Congratulate these wrestlers as you see them and thank you to all who came out to support! Winning for the cougars were:
