The 2023-24 school year in Spartanburg District Five is right around the corner, and if you have an incoming kindergarten or 4K student, it's time to register! District Five is excited to welcome parents and families needing to register new kindergarten, 4K or 1st grade students for the new school year.
The registration window begins February 1, 2023, and runs through March 31.
This year, all parents are being encouraged to register students IN PERSON. Visit your home zoned school Monday-Friday during the hours of 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Make sure you have these documents with you to register:
- photo ID
- child's birth certificate
- immunization records
- proof of residency (water or power bill OR rent/lease agreement in your name)
If you are applying for Limited School Choice (LSC), you must also complete the LSC application available on the District Five website. Applications will only be accepted through March 31, 2023. (**Please note**: Lyman Elementary School and Reidville Elementary School are closed to school choice for the 2023-24 school year.)
LIMITED SCHOOL CHOICE DOES NOT APPLY TO 4K STUDENTS. Due to limited space in 4K, students who are accepted must attend their home-zoned school.
